@AustinKesslerGuitar Thanks! There is a thin line between "nostalgic" and "cheesey" for this one, but after such fond childhood memories of this video, I had to go there.
Your drumming is great.I didnt think anyone used real drums on their recordings in the 80 ,a
When I cover a song I don't already know, I will make a transcription myself, so I listen to it dozens of times. I then run through it as many times as needed to get a good feel, usually 5-10 times. I then record and usually take 3-10 runs to get as mistake free as possible. Sometimes I get in over my head, but I think I make it work for the most part. Thanks for watching! I've got 100 other cover videos posted, so check them out if you wish.
Thanks! This was a bit harder to play than I anticipated, but I somehow made it through.
Thanks for watching and for the compliment! I'm going to respectfully disagree, though. After spending a lot of time playing tympani and teaching marching bass drummers I have come to realize that the center of a drum head is a dead zone. I think the best sound comes about 2/3 of the way in. I make sure I stay over the wires on my snare drum so the snare reaction is still there.
@AustinKesslerGuitar Saluda Glory series. They are vented on the bottom bell. Check out drumgearonline[dot]com for the full lineup.
One word. Stupendous!!!!!!
IT WAS A VERY GOOD JOB THAT U DID! THANKS FOR COVERING THAT SONG- ITS ONE OF MY FAVORITES!
Thanks for watching! I don't think many of them in the 80s used real drums either. There were a lot of electronic sets being used, so real drummers with artificial sounds.
Brilliant ^_^ LOVED you did the sketch video ^_^ I grew up in the 90s but as a little girl i still loved Aha ^_^ Very well played -.^
Thanks! This was quite a bit harder to play than I anticipated. Super fun, though.
Thanks! This was a really fun one to get into.
liked the original video clip B&W effect. :)
Thanks! I didn’t want to overdo it, but a little was fun.
Gracias por su atención y por el buen cumplido!
I'm counting this in a fast 4, with the snare on 2 & 4, so the hihat is 8th notes with accents (mostly) on the downbeats.
To bad - they were a really fun group. Thanks for watching!
Hi My Daughter is doing this with the school does anybody out there know where i can get the drum notation for this please help Many Thanks Ken
Thanks for watching. Check out the first line in the video description up above. It's a link to my website. Click on "Sheet Music" link and scroll down. You will find a complete transcription of this song.

+Chris Jericho - I have already recorded that one, but unfortunately it got blocked due to copyright issues. You may be able to see it if I link directly, but I'm not sure - th-cam.com/video/yi5XnF_2s2U/w-d-xo.html
+Redeye Percussion it did not work but its fine
+Redeye Percussion could you do Highway To Hell By ACDC if you can thanks :)
+Chris Jericho - I just listened to the drumless version of Highway To Hell that I have. It's live and with Brian Johnson instead of Bon Scott. Would you still like to hear me do that one or something else?
Thanks for the sheet!!
Do u know where I can find the drum set sheet music for this song?
In the link
A taste bit in front, kinda pulling ya in....
Essa música tem uma levada de bumbo em algumas notas bem difíceis.
Hahaha awesome
this was a rythm box
i need a turotial on this song but there doesn't exist a single video that plays it slow or explains it
i know this is a month late but try this tutorial: th-cam.com/video/zwO6N3c7hS0/w-d-xo.html
Thanks! When I decided to record this, I didn't know that the sketch filter was included in my video software. I saw it and thought - "perfect". I loved the video as a young 'un.
Eh it would be better if the drums sound a little bit more auto tuned
Toca bakan
Ahora los drumers no ponen su poder relajado :(
play in the middle of your drum and you will get a cleaner tone. great cover
Thanks! This was a fun one.
curious. during the verses, what sre you playing on the hi hat? eighth or 16th notes
Es increíble, esta muy cordinado con el bajo.
A-ha is dissolved
How do you play the hi hats? wich notes are they?
Most of the time the hihats are played on every eighth note. The exception is during the main keyboard melody, when they go to only quarter notes. Thanks for watching!
Yes
