I was with Auburn fire in the 80’s and 90’s,, I definitely agree with your comments about SBC and Stockton. Though I was living on my boat in a marina at the end of march lane ,2019-2021, a ski boat exploded while tied to a dock at the public boat ramp, they flooded the boat with a straight stream and the two guys on a brush type squad couldn’t seem to figure out why the boat was floating out into the turning basin, a straight stream, don’t know what pressure it was, but just looking at it, it’s wasn’t a 125 pounds at the nozzle, unless things have changed, that was always the working pressure, well anyway they were pushing the boat out into the basin, SJC sheriff boat pushed it back in while it was burning, but thing is, it was a fuel fire and they were also pushing burning fuel into the water, other boaters were scrambling to move their boats. I was on my bow with a front row seat, I yelled get an engine with some foam and I got a nasty remark back that I won’t repeat. lol. They finally got it to stop burning, but the boat was burned close to the waterline. About an hour later, while still waiting for a rollback to come get it. It was being impounded due to burn injuries to the wife. So it reignited and this time the correct engine arrived and they used foam, I was two beers in by this time, but the BC walked out to the end of the dock finger and yelled across to me , “ I apologize for my earlier comments, I was wrong to say that, yes we needed foam, but that damned thing ( pointing at the engine broke in route, and we did what we could, you were well are one of us, hope you understand “, I gave him a thumbs up and told him to bring the wife n kids or girlfriend over n have a beer one day, but he never did. I still have video of it somewhere.
Based on the burn pattern on the ceiling around that light, before the FD broke into the ceiling, I'd guess the cause was an short in that light. (Electrical).
