- Being a fan of At the Movies, I love to watch Ebert and Roeper and Siskel pick apart movies, or stumble with their lines, or go after each other, or just say something really random. Here's a tribute to some rather humourous moments from the past 30 years, and if you wanna see any review from the show, go to:

It was the cancer, unfortunately. Cancer silenced two of the best movie critics of all time in Siskel & Ebert.

Ebert got to the 2nd stage of TMNT huh? He probably couldn't get past the damn seaweed part at the dam like most people, god I hated that.

I love this series. At 14/15 or so entries, it's still too short. Wish these two were still around, as well. Wonderful, probably accidental pair.

I don't always agree with Ebert, but I definitely think he's funny.

Roeper is wrong to go against She's The Man. It was a fun movie. He never understands to have a different bar for kids films. It was like a fun version of Hana-Kimi.

been ten years today since losing Ebert....but on the day of a certain person's arraignment....I need some laughs....
Man I always hated Segal. He was just a ponytail, and I guess he knows martial arts, but all the movies I saw him in it was always quick cutaways or stuntdoubles. Hack!
Van Damme always was better, and I compare the two because this was conversation fodder at my 4th grade cafeteria. And now with JCVD, its safe to say I was right.

I really thought that Roeper was a worthy successor to Siskel. Not as good (nobody could replace Gene), but definitely good, and the show hardly missed a beat.
So did I.
Gene, Roger, and Richard are like the golden trinity of movie critics. I have no problem grouping them all together. Too bad fate hadn't been kind enough to let all three of them review a movie together as a group.

@thesearevideos15 A.O. Scott is nowhere near the awfulnewss of Mankewitcz and Lyons.
That would be nice but I don't have confidence in them. Michael Phillips was just average on the show and A. O. Scott, while a good writer, is not so good at speaking, as he demonstrated at my college last year.
Well, I commend you on 2001, but White Chicks is literally the lowest common denominator as comedy goes. Maybe calling you stupid was harsh, but I was a bit shocked to hear that someone liked that movie.
you know sometimes theses guys were off on movies but at least they were likable people along with scott and phillips. The reason the bens failed was cuz they were not likable at all
I know how to solve this dilemma Ebert liked the fast and the furious movies except one. Ryan Dunn can star in a movie called two fast two furious, where he... Oh Wait.
Really like how old? Well I don't think many kids so anyway. When I was a kid I didn't really care what critics thought about Spy Kids or whatever movies I was going to see.
I'd argue Jessica Simpson is the ONLY thing people remember from Dukes of Hazzard.

Roger Ebert will explain that all movies are relative and you judge them based on other movies in the genre.
Liking Cop and a Half may have broken something in Ebert's brain.

Cliffhanger ranks as a really bad movie that's beyond repulsive. Here's a small sampling of 2 of the worst scenes in movie history. 1. The Sylvester Stallone character and snookums, burn 30 million dollars!!!!!! These are trained survivalists!!!! They could run 2 sticks together and create a fire. Or they could burn a couple hundred thousand to start a fire but noooooo. 2. There's a ladder used in a few scenes. What's a ladder doing in the middle of nowhere? Oh yeah there's plenty more faults.
