Hi, very helpful video. I need to remove a pole, the technic can be used to remove a pole without having access to the top of the pole because the platform can not be use where I am?
Thank you for the demonstration and tips. Given the risk of catastrophe if the hook is knocked out, I am surprised you don't have a wedge in the hand-hole and a specialized hook with strapping attachments on each side to hold it in place and a figure-8 clove hitch between the pole and the supporting strap... Yes, I am desk-bound 🙂
Very nice and informative video, just nitpicking here, but that bottom hook is not rated for lifting i don't think, i would use a sorting hook there if possible.
Good thought Josh. Technically that is correct. We could not find a good rated lifting hook that would fit in the hand hole. The weight of the poles are so little compared to what normal lifting slings/hooks are rated for, getting a hook that fits better is more important for our application.

Good point, we do strap the hook into the pole with whatever device works best. a custom hook with built in strapping points would be a good idea.
Light pole length please how much long

The tools needed are hole hook, hand hole hooks, clevis, and 3 straps.....but you forgot the most important tool....the expensive crane, sir
