I think Keith is testament to the idea that a good attitude and absence of stress is key to longevity. Whenever you see him he's usually smiling and laughing.
A metric shit ton of money would facilitate that.

Eddie Vedder told a funny story on Howard Stern about getting on stage late for a guest appearance to sing with the Stones at a concert. At an after party, Eddie went up to Keith and apologized for coming on late and told Keith the stage manager wouldn’t tell him when to go on. Eddie said Keith put his arm around him, laughed, and said, no worries mate, he’s been doing that to me for 30 years. 😁
I just cant imagine what kind of world we're going to leave behind for Keith Richards at this point

He’s 80 and had ten times the life most people will ever experience. I can’t even begin to imagine the contentedness that he must feel with life as a whole. He absolutely completed it.

Quitting Howard Stern was the easiest thing ever for me.

Quitting drinking was much harder for me than quitting smoking. Feel wonderful now though

I've had others say the same, cigs were easier that hooch. When I asked them why, most said because socially, cigs are falling out of favor (at least in America) while booze is still so very accepted and ingrained into our social culture

For a rock icon, Keith always seems so down to earth. Funny and engaging, he’s the Stone you’d want to hang out with.
Just goes to show how good the impression of him was on Stella street.
He’s got that inner voice in him. That’s what kept him alive for so long. His contemporaries didn’t. A lot of them died. Keith always knew when to cut the sh1t.

Four-and-a-half years on and Howard is still making sure his “serious” book is taking up 50% of Keith Richard’s shot. Gotta be tough, slipping into your 70s, knowing that no matter what you do the first paragraph of your obituary is going to include both “Fartman” and “Butt Bongo Fiesta”.
However, quitting smoking is much more difficult than quitting drinking.
It totally depends on the person and maybe why they NEED to either pack up smoking or drinking !!!!

I can vouch for Keith saying its harder to give up booze, by a long way I reckon.
Shows how different we all are. Of the two, I found smoking by far the hardest to give up. Definitely don't miss either - or even think about them. Either way, we both made a good decision. 😊
