Guys, you really need to watch their performance of "Zitti e buoni" during the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest (as others have written, can be found on Vimeo for you in the US). It's fire (literally, and you'll understand why 😏🔥) Also, a great song for you to listen to is "Coraline" but make sure to read the lyrics to have a better idea of the deep meaning. Another interesting one would be "In nome del padre". Grazie!

Their song Coraline is the best storytelling rock song of the last 10 years. And it's pronounced like "Monaskin" with an open "o" like in "what".

( the song coraline, you need absolutely need the video with the sub eng, thje lyrics is a masterpiece. The problem is that in English double consonants are not pronounced as such, so for them there is no difference in pronunciation between "zitti" and "ziti" or any other double consonant for the matter.

You are gonna love La paura del buio (there's available one life preformance with English subtitles) and Coraline (check the lyric video translated, is amazing). Honestly, they are good. Lyrics in italian are much deeper.

Hello guys. You pronounce it as Moneskin because it's a danish name meaning moonlight. The bassist is half danish from mother side. They are 22y.o. (Damiano, the singer and lyricist), 21y.o. Victoria (the bassist) and 20y.o. the other two members (Ethan Torchio the drummer and Thomas Raggi, the guitarist). They composed Zitti e Buoni 5 years ago in a form of a ballad, but they changed it recently for the Italian Sanremo Festival and they won it (first time a rock song wins sanremo from 1951). And then they won the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 the 22nd of may. Second time a rock song wins ESC. Please note the band formed in 2015/2016 and started playing as buskers in the streets of Rome. In 2017 they were second in the talent show XFactor. They signed with Sony immediately after and had many platinum and gold. Theynare from Monteverde quartier in Rome.
Their first album is called "Il Ballo della Vita". Second album, released march 2021, is caller "Teatro d'Ita Volume 1". There will be Volume 2 published by end of 2021. Listen to all the two LPs but especially to "Teatro d'ira". Is a masterpiece of rock and rock ballads. But get videos with translater lyrics because the songs in Italian are also lyrics masterpieces.

If you like the heavier stuff you should check out In Nome del Padre and Lividi sui gomiti. If you look up translations of their Italian songs they have epic lyrics but you want to see a live performance to see why they won over most of europe.

Maneskin is danish. The bass player is half danish. The pronunciation is Moneskin. Zitti e Buoni means Shut up and be quite. With regard to the Ziti shape of pasta it is pronounced §"ziti" while ZITTI means be quiet, shut up.
You're right, they sound definitely better in Italian. Probably because it's their mother tongue. Damiano the singer writes phenomenal lyrics in Italian. While his English lyrics are quite sketchy, of course. However up till now he has refused to be helped.
