Tears of joy....this is how that deep, dark journey ends...a return to the world and a rebirth...just tell everyone how much you love them....absolutely sublime!!
Yes , The Ninth Wave .. according to fishermen ( as I understand it) that was the largest and strongest wave . The one that could take you out. The whole side of the album to me, is like that. Masterpiece! So happy to see your appreciation
I know you thought the ending of Hello Earth was boring. But this comes right after. So powerful when heard after each other. Down in the valley and then up up up
I raise my hat to you InAVee Coop. Not many people go for half a album at once. I really like the way you are enjoying this. Something tells me this album will be one you will be coming back to many, many times from now on. I often do ever since its release and it never ceases to amaze me.
I had the absolutre good fortune to see her live in London 2014 (thousands of people couldn't get tickets). It was the most amazing thing I ever seen on a stage. Her voice, the lighting, the band, the effects, all the musicians, the dance everything. Nearly 3 hours of spellbinding bliss. At the end of the prevoius song to this one 'Hello Earth' she was carried aloft throught the audience by some of her dancers having been rescued from the sea. She reamerged on stage and sang this song. When she sang the line ‘I love you better’ she smiled and looked at the audience there was such a roar from the audience. It was so touching and emotional. Goosebumps. Great reveiw as always.
Great to see you feeling that beautiful song. Brought a tear to my eye too. What an amazing song. The sweetest guitar I think I have ever heard and incredible bass that grabs you in the stomach. Then Kates beautiful voice on top. It doesn't get much better than that.
Since you've done The Ninth Wave, you might like the second disk of Kate's two disk Aerial. The second disk, A Sky of Honey. This is a story about a woman with a child, surrounded by friends, in a home setting, it moves from waking up to her child saying "mummy" in her ear on Prelude to midnight skinny dipping with her husband, Nocturne. Even the ocean at night doesn't scare her! Sunset and Nocturne are the best of the set but as with most of her work, a slightly less successful song might make someone else's career
Thank-you SO much for reacting to the 2nd side of Hounds of Love. NO ONE has done a reaction to it. It's a masterpiece, no question. The sad part is how few people know about it.(or just don't try)
If you are looking for Kate Bush tracks to review Never Be Mine Moments Of Pleasure & December Will Be Magic Again go for the audio tracks not the live visual videos
Just for a little interlude from the Welling Goddess, review Cornflake Girl by Tori Amos. She's a big Kate acolyte, and is always on any docu' about Her. You'll hear the influence from Kate in that song straight away. 🍀 I don't think anyone's ever done this, (review) but if you want to hear English countryside listen to the original theme to 'Black Beauty.' It was a 70s family TV series. I don't know why I brought that one up, but it's 70s and very English countryside, which Kates music reminds me of.
Well done you - "JOY" - totally the feeling I have for this song. Thank you so much for your reaction. Beautiful

I kiss the ground...I tell my mother, I tell my father I tell my lover I tell my brother...how much I love them

This song is the perfect end to the Ninth Wave story - such a delight! It's one of my all-time favorite Kate Bush songs. 💞
One of the best songs ever, just filled with joy and life and love!
It’s healing.
It feels so good to listen to :)

Favorite song in the world! Kate Bush is everything to me, her music is filled with so much emotion but most of all love, just so much love.
Kate Bush is unique. The best artist ever ! I haven't been a single day without listening to her songs since I was 14 years old. Now I'm 56 yo.
Huge respect for reviewing all this masterpiece. Amazing work by you.
You can listen to this album again and again and again and get new, more intricate meanings from it. That's a masterpiece!

Great that you did this with 'side 2' of the album. Delightful to see your reaction.

That acoustic guitar played by renowned Australian classical virtuoso John Williams (no, not the film score composer).
I love that you love Kate

You should have a little bit of vodka in that bottle, and you would've heard a bit more! :)
