From the top of the Rockefeller building I saw 432 Park Avenue for the first time in Nov 15, it took my breathe away, had never seen anything like it. So tall and skinny. It doesn't offend me, I quite like it but the idea of living right at the top makes my stomach turn, you have to have nerves of steel to stay up there!

New York is so beautiful ! The most beautiful skyline in the world !! Dubai and other countrys can build all the tall buildings they want , but they have no history to them there's nothing there!! What I love is that these towers again emphasize the importance of engineering, and furthermore show the incredible improvements that were made in science and civil engineering :) I'm looking forward to be part of that one day

every single building is different, every single one has it's own characteristics - here is what in my opinion is the main problem what's happening with new york's skyline right now. i even had a big problem with 432 park ave when i saw it the first time though i got used to it and now i like it. because it is simple and not too fancy. 111 west 57th just looks terrible. with it's crooked top on the first sight to me it always looks as if it falls over right in this moment. with all those new super tall skyscrapers where everyone tries to look more fancy than the other one you will just get a heartless skyline like in dubai, where it just looks as if random skyscrapers from all over the world and from all different types of city-styles where randomly thrown together. when they really do build this big u-shaped arched tower to central park then the legendary new york skyline will be changed for the worse forever....
I wonder if there is anyone that still fail to see how zoning laws lead to higher costs for housing and businesses. Cities all around the US are strapping themselves and limiting their growth, throwing people into suburbs, because they don't allow housing and business to settle in downtown.
