I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at 3 yrs old, in my teen years l had to have surgeries to fuse my ankles and toes to reduce pain. I was ok until l was in my 50s then fell from a ladder and smashed up my joints, l ended up having to have my toes amputated because there were to many fragments to join and it would be long difficult surgery and a long time in a cast. In my 60s now my hips are bad but at this stage l don't want to have them replaced. I hope EB goes into remission and has no complications she is such a strong gritty wee girl.
Our family does our own canning to, and grow our garden, My grandma is 90 years old and she still cans, she makes the best sauerkraut, but we actually grew the cabbage this year and she's gonna help us can it, its currently in our cool basement fermenting after we cut it all..We also can green beans, sweet pickles, dill pickles, bread and butter pickles, sweet corn..I want to try doing pickled garlic, i would just have to get the garlic from the store..
We found out I had rheumatoid arthritis at age four, and I was also diagnosed with celiac disease. While it's not always fun, I have a perspective and ability to connect with a larger age range, and am doing well, considering...funny enough, Elizabeth is my middle name. EB has a great life ahead of her.
Love your family vlogs and your kids are so cute. Yes EB is such a trooper when it comes to the arthritis 😥 she is such a brave little girl. Frankie and those curls. 🤗
I make chilli jam here in the uk. Jalapeños, fresh skinned tomatoes, vinegar and preserving/jam/jelly sugar. Last time I made it though we had to open all the doors and windows in the house as it was SO spicy. The recipe only called for four jalapeños. It is really lovely served with soft goats cheese and crackers alongside salad for a light lunch.
My son only had two dose of methotrexate and it made his liver go crazy, so had to stop, he has to do infliximab infusions for Crohn’s disease. These kids are so tough.
I had the same injections when I was her age I’m now 17 and been diagnosed with Elders Danlos syndrome. I still take vitamins and especially my iron vitamin makes me fill full. So if she taking iron vitamin that might be why she not hungry and doesn’t want to eat
I had reactive arthritis when I was four and every winter it comes back and I can’t walk so I get pushed in a wheel chair but lucky it’s only in my knees good luck EB you can fight through this🙃🤍✨😘
So when you talked about the sourdough my siblings friend makes it so I know how it tastes but its just a bit different cause all cooks cook well in there own way!😁
EB is such a little fighter! Just a thought, maybe having her drink a nutritional drink for example for afternoon snack could be an idea? There's so many different ones but I know there's some that gives important nutrients if a kid is having low appetite due to illness or medications
