Where has this been all my life! So creative! I decided to turn the chairs in different directions to make it challenging for the kids to get a seat even if it was close to their side.
A variation we have done to make the game more active (which also solves the issue of the teams only making lines in the row closest to them, as mentioned at the end of this video) is having the teams mixed up and spread out around the room. In our case, we use a gym, so all players have to be outside the basketball court lines, and the grid is setup with hula hoops in the center.
This game is sooooo fun and utterly useful for practicing responding to numbers. I used this for my class and it was super fun!!! Thanks a lot, what a wonderful idea :D
I played this with our youth ministry and they loved it! I think it works best in larger spaces. It's hard to do it in a small room since it's important that the X's and O's line up. Thank you so much for great game ideas! Please post more. God bless you and your ministry!
This is great! We did something similar, except we played in a gym. You had to run across the whole length of the gym, and then both people got to sit down. The trick was that once there were three people from each team up there, we started to bring people back each round :)
This is something great to see. It looks like side to side have to take the middle of the position. It looks like this is a challenge to win this game.
Hi there, we are a youth christian organization from Romania, Europe and we often use this games as moodboosters for our youthwork. Great job guys, and many thanks! BTW, you inspired us to start our own channel with our own games. Thanks for the that! God bless ya'all!
My another comment on variation, what if you alternate the O verse X on each side. for example, before you called their number let the player stand in alternated number ( side 1- 1x,2O, 3x, 4 O, 5x, 6O) same thing goes to side 2.
As a after school summer teacher the kids loved it however I have a question , let’s say we call the number 1, and obviously one person grabs a chair and the other doesn’t , what happens to the player who stays standing who got to the chair too late? If you call their number again(in this case it’s 1) , it’s only one person left , what do you do?
I solved your problem of having the teams win too easily in the row they are standing closest to. The solution is instead of having the two teams stand separately on opposite sides of the chair, have everyone stand in a large circle surrounding the chairs. You may also have them shuffled around so that they are not necessarily standing next to their teammates. However, just make sure everyone knows and REMEMBERS which team they are on before spreading them out amongst the circle.
As in why do you only allow the one who reaches first to sit at the spot and ask the other to move out That way if for example on 2 successive rounds “X” gets a spot first There will be no “Y” board at all ?
Tejas Lakhani You can certainly lead it that way! I like the extra competitiveness of having the first to sit with older students. Younger ages I may let both have a seat!
Cameron McGHEE Awesome! Glad they're useful! None of these are original, I've just been collecting games I hear about from different churches and camps that I talk to!
can some one please explain this. I am little confused as to what they have to do once their numbers are being called. how do they have to sit basically?
Hi, Ishani! After a number is called, the two people that have that number rush to any spot in the grid. First of the two to sit down and make their team letter with their arms (X or O) gets the spot! Hope that helps!
Possible rule addition: Teams can't sit in the column unless they make a complete circle around the chairs. (I don't know if that would just add too much or not.)
as you can obviously tell by my icon I work for a church, I work with really young children around the age of 7 years old to 12 years old. Why do you believe the children should not be able to score on the sides and what are some appropriate games for the children I work with. Thank you for your time and consideration. Hope to hear from you soon, Genesis
Genesis Hernandez Hi! I like to encourage kids to get a more difficult three-in-a-row than the toe nearest them. It's become just a race to those seats. Adds extra challenge. Check the playlist for games for Elementary students!
+Youth Ministry Great Games thank you very much! I'm always trying to find fun games that our youth here will actually enjoy. I know they will love this! Thanks again!

@@howardcollado1496 I don’t call each number more than once to avoid that
I love this game
Brother can you give me some ideas of games and some youth notes
nice video
awesome game! :)
As soon as everyone signs their waivers, you can play 'Connect Four.'
Sprry..the point is to get 3 identical sign, one in every row? BUT WHEREVER?
It’s tic tac toe, so 3 in a row either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally in any row or column or diagonal direction
@@YouthMinistryGreatGames why don’t you make vids anymore?

oh! got it now. got confused that they were supposed to make a pattern while sitting. thanks a lot! seems like a fun activity :).
No particular pattern, other than getting a three-in-a-row tic tac toe! Vertical, horizontal, or diagonal!
great game, thanks for share
How does that work
Spectacular game
Interesting 😃❤️
so great
like tis agree on not being able to score on the side which they are standing.

Im so doing this tonight at the LOCK-IN!
Great fun...
Really a fun game
It is very funny😅

If you allow everyone to walk in a circle around the chairs, wouldn't that to make it easier to claim a spot all around the square?

2:08 to 2:17 voice so funny and like ghost voice last tape

Thank you!! I loved it!. and my students had a great time!!
VAR was birthed here
I didn't understand can anyone elaborate please
So I'm assuming that you can't the same number until either team x or team o wins right?
Right! If you've called 4 already, and one of them is sitting in the grid, you wouldn't call the same number again until you have finished a round.
+Youth Ministry Great Games thank you very much! I'm always trying to find fun games that our youth here will actually enjoy. I know they will love this! Thanks again!
Interesting. :)
2:30 WHY!? That’s their sides
Then it’s just a race to the seats and not an actual game of tic tac toe. Not necessary to play that way. Just to make the game more interesting.
Korean people see: ❌ and ✅
Muito bom!
nice..sir
look fun
Why are they dabbing and why are they doing ballet?
Time for some new ones bruh!
