This looks awesome, I think they updated just the right thing! For me the mini was already good enough to finish stuff on, but it still felt like a chore particularly when making melodies and harmonies, whereas on bigger desktop sequencers melody composing can really be a flow experience. This might bring the Mini a bit closer to the big sequencers, and of course nothing is going to beat it in terms of how useful it is during a train ride. So I am looking forward to making a lengthy new train ride very soon!
I guess for finger drumming, so as to select the C5 to C6, you need to get back to chromatic mode first. Maybe they would need to clean this up a bit in the firmware so as to be able to do this switching to drum finger mode more easily. Also would cover the case someone wants to pitch his drum between C5 and C6. However fingerdruming is so cool and unexpected. Now want to understand how the sample chop playing they demoed in their own video works.
Great update! Unfortunately, Tracker Mini workflow, while innovative, just wasn't my cup of tea. Glad they made it a little easier to input notes though!
WHERE HAVE I BEEN!?!?!?! Seriously I use my Trackers almost every day and this somehow slipped past me. THANK YOU! Btw, to anyone wondering, it's shift and rec, then use the screen buttons to arm/disarm tracks. It's kind of an awkward button combo but it works like a charm. Still floored I didn't know about it lol.

Yeah it's not perfect, but this is a BIG step forward, it's so much fun!

Yeah there are definitely some little fixes to make here and there, but definitely going to be a sweet update!
Finger drumming directly on the tracker mini. Now that's something I never would have expected to see, but somehow we're here.
It's pretty weird not gonna lie haha. But I love having the option!

Yeah it's definitely not for everyone! Thanks as always Terry :)
I'm reallllllly waiting to see someone mention/demoing playing sample chops. I'm assuming you can?
I haven't tried yet (I don't really work with chops) but I'll give it a shot soon.
@@FreeBeat Thanks!
What a great update!
Definitely!
Super coooool 🤩🥰
Definitely!
Is there a way to connect TE OPZ via usb-c to use as a midi keyboard?
You have been able to just arm only one track for recording for ages now. Stops the notes running into the next track
How?
@@vertigev pretty sure it's shift and track select

the link does not work :(
This makes me feel even worse about owning an OG tracker haha
How come? On the OG you've got all those awesome pads for note entry haha.
