- When I was on my trip to Urmston Aquatics doing my Monster Fish Tour I seen this lonely Geophagus Altifron so I just had to give it a home in my Mixed Community Tank
Massive shout out to Spud at Urmston Aquatics for doing me a great deal on this stunning Geophagus Altifron
If you are in the UK and havent been to Urmston Aquatics you are missing out honestly

Paul , You’ve done a very good thing! bringing that beauty home with you, from a lonely existence, to paradise❤ 💯 ⭐️
Cheers Jeff I am a hero well at least I told myself that when I bought it lol
"I remember a time when altifrons were labled as surinamensis" 😂 East Asian farms are still labeling them that .. really annoying cause its a 50 / 50 if the fish is a sveni or altifrons. Really digging the earth eater tank 🔥. Now all you need is guinacara
Thank you and yes very annoying isnt it, I am thinking Steindachneri next but do love Guinacara too
I have no recollection of you having tattoos everywhere on your forearms…. What have I missed? Lolol
Hahaha yes i have them all over my arms, my legs and some on my neck
Witaj przyjacielu pozdrawiam z Polski miłego wieczoru życzę
Thank you
Beautiful geos and beautiful aquarium. Geos have become my favorite fish. It's nice to have a medium size cichlid that isn't a jerk and you can have plants with.
Yes totally agree woth you its actaully a pleasure after having all the aggressive cichlids lol
Beautiful fish Paul, I love geos, some day they are on a bucket list of mine
I would love to see you do some Geos in your set ups mate
Lovely fish Paul. One of my favourite Geophagus and that tank is looking beautiful mate!🔥

Yes
You must get loads of people doing that lol
If you don't have a sand substrate your committing a sin on the geophagus....just amazing watching them sifting sand...after i got one and my wife watched what it does to the sand she even let me go buy some more...😊
Absolutely agree they 100% should be on sand and its great watching them sift sand
Geos are like potato chips. You just can't stop at one! Great pick up mate.
Haha so true mate I learned from you
When they’re bigger not much can challenge them for beauty

I saw them about 8 years ago in a massive juwel aquarium in somefin fishy, and I fell in love with them, but I had Frontosa in my big tank at the time. Now I have the blackwater I'm seriously considering getting a 6 smaller ones and growing them out. What's your advice mate?
