In the same position as you with A levels in less then a month. So glad you have been blogging your a level journey Nouman, feel slightly less alone in this. Best of luck !!
Thank you very much! - its odd that i feel less stressed now than i did at gcse's but thats just me, but we can do this!! - Hope everyone and you do amazing !!
I think it’s because we know what to expect almost in terms of going into the exam hall and whatnot, with GCSEs it felt like there was more of an uncertainty (that’s my take on it)

Hey Nouman, I take international As level rn and the thing is i've finished all the past papers until the year 2022, I've got only the 2023 papers and the jan 2024 papers. What I wanted a bit of advice on the fact that ive got 16 days till my exams inshallah. D'you think i should revise for about a few days then do the papers, or should i use all my 16 days for the past papers? Or should i just finish my past papers and however many days ive got left, i should just revise during them? Really needed advice on this, thanks💗💗💗 p.s rn in total ive got 22 papers left and can finish with an average of 3 to 4 papers a day, so if i stick to it, it should take 6 to 7 days to finish all my papers
I got my y12 mocks soon and I was debating whether I should try to learn my flashcards (I only have a few left) or just go to exam questions and forget the flashcards.
I’ve currently got flash cards that still need to be gone over, I just do it alongside my exam practise because flash cards take me no longer than 30m each day
Am I cooked if I start revising now hardcore for year 12 mocks and I'm resitting my gcse maths exam so I get a 6 to apply for med I got a 5 in the original
I found picking one poem per theme to be useful as some contain the same themes, their is a table you can search up online. This made it easier as I only had to memorise 4-5 poems
Yeah have a few that are your go-to poems with lots to talk about but make sure to be at least familiar with all of them in case they appear (but you only really need to memorise a couple in detail)
How did you revise based on your exams specifically? I‘m really struggling on when to revise what in the most efficient time frame or idk spaced repetition cycle before each exam. I know that I need to focus on my weak papers but I also then feel like I’m not prioritising my time well enough to fit my exam timetable. If you have any tips or strategies that‘d be super helpful!!
Right now it’s not so important to revise for each exam individually, but when you have a week before your exams, I’d say to start splitting your revision in terms of the exams you have on each week, so if you have 3 exams in week 1 to spend most your time just on those exams and then the same for the next week and so on. But obviously this is the very final stages of your revision, for now you should just be getting a good amount of revision for each subject depending on how well you feel with it. Currently with my a levels I’m trying to get some sort of revision done for at least 2/3 of my a level subjects each day
Hi Nouman, I started revising for my GCSE subjects in February, but I started focusing on revising all my GCSE subjects in March, and I started focusing on past papers after the easter holidays. Do you think it's possible to go from a 4-6s to 7s by 09/05/2024 ? [as I have 2 weeks]
I think it’s definitely possible. You should be getting an idea of where you’re at with the past papers you’re doing. Just continue doing those and making a note of common mistakes and improving them and you should slowly see your grades increasing
@@garrybarry9937 nah im gonna obviously try do them all but yeah ive just been spending a long time getting those pmt questions done and strengthening each topic separately
@@worsh1pperofAllah if i told you, no you cant get to an A are you just gonna sit around and not revise? realistically no, theres no point just wondering "ooo can i get an A*" instead of actually putting in the work, alevels is more of a mindgame. just put in the work now and stress later.
I needed this, my year 12 mocks start in 2 days 😬

I feel the exact same!! The stress isn’t as bad this time round but that shouldn’t make me complacent

Should I memorise quotes for every poem in less depth, or focus on less poems, but in more detail?
