    Leilani thank you for this! I am in Georgia and even though our laws and requirements look a little different, I still enjoy watching. I come to your channel often to get ideas and help with homeschooling my 5 year old son with down syndrome. I also have two other children I am homeschooling and the days are long. I feel defeated and feel like giving up and sending them to school because something in my head tells someone else can do it better, someone else can teach my son with down syndrome better. I cried when you read from your book. You reminded me I'm not alone and I CAN do this. That is why I will continue to come to your channel for encouragement and ideas. Thank you so much for all you do!❤

I will definitely have you do our annual evaluation again for the 24/25 school year. I took your advice and applied for the Step Up For Students UA Scholarship and we were awarded so far.

    I am very very grateful for the empowerment you have given me as a homeschooling parent and a special needs parent. Not just the fluffy, feel good encouragement but the PRACTICAL legal side of things that a lot of people giving homeschool advice leave out or just don’t assign importance/emphasis to those topics. Thank you for your hard word and sharing your own experiences. I was dreading this year with, it being the first year schooling 3 kids and first official year schooling our special needs child. And it was still the hardest I’ve worked at all this, but it’s been our best. Partly due to the inspiration of you and a couple other TH-cam homeschool moms.

    I had my child complete the Stanford 10 full battery test at the end of the school year. Does this count as an annual assessment in Florida? The Seton website says "Our Florida state certified teacher fulfills the state requirement for administration, so you do not have to hire an administrator or leave your house". But I was curious if you knew anything about this

    • @LivingWithEve
      @LivingWithEve  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You have to have a certified teacher administer it. I would call them to confirm what they say on their website.

    So I live in Sarasota and my daughter is in fourth grade and I just spoke with her guidance counselor and told her that I wanted to homeschool my daughter but that I was told there were certain classes she could still take there and she told me there was no such thing, I looked into it more and seen there was, and when I talk to her again, she told me she looked into it more, and nobody in that district has heard of it, I told her that they should probably educate themselves then because I’m sure there’s gonna be more homeschoolers, and she told me she’s been with the school for a while she would know, how do I go about getting them updated with the laws of homeschooling?

    • @LivingWithEve
      @LivingWithEve  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You have to go to the state government website and download the laws. You can join HSLDA, the homeschool lawyer and / or context HEF (home education foundation). They are our lobbyist.

    Does Florida have free homeschooling through the public school school district, I heard through another TH-cam video that they do.

    • @LivingWithEve
      @LivingWithEve  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Florida Virtual School is an option. But you will be registered through them if you go full time and if you are full time you are public schooled at home.

    • @LivingWithEve
      @LivingWithEve  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We do have a scholarship that pays for our curriculum, if that is what you heard. PEP is separate from homeschool but it functions like homeschool. The separation is because of attendance and data gathering.

    • @LivingWithEve
      @LivingWithEve  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You should not have an ID unless they were in public school before. Leave it blank. or put N/ A. Next time use the FPEA. I have a form that I use that is incredibly simple. The evaluator should give you the form and you email it in.
