- Me and my dad performing a saxophone duet of Glenn Frey's hit song, "You Belong To The City" in the Taylor Reed Magic Show at Brazosport Community College in late 1985. I was 11 years old.
TH-cam informs me that this "matched third party content" (I assume because my dad and I performed a song - with OUR OWN INSTRUMENTS - that we obviously didn't compose; in fact, this is an INSTRUMENTAL COVER of the Glenn Frey song that was performed when I was 11 years old). Unbelievable, I can't even upload a video of myself playing a musical instrument without the copyright nazis via TH-cam soiling their underpants over it. I want to dispute the "third party" claim, but not sure if I can "legally" since I didn't write the song (too bad I see literally countless people upload videos of themselves performing songs they didn't write, sitting in front of a webcam with their guitar or other instruments... are they ALL violating "the law"?). I guess I should have looked over at my dad during the performance and said, "Hey, you know we're a couple of copyright-infringing bastards, don't ya?" I'm gonna upload a video of myself playing some psychotic, rambling, incoherent tune on a harmonica or keyboard and see how long it takes before I get a "matched third party"/"copyright infringement" notice on it (fucking bastard publishers).
