this is what I was going to do to my MK7 GTI DSG... but it had engine issues after 67K miles. I ended up picking up a 3 pedal 2024 Golf R. I am Stage 1 93 Octane APR tuned now, and plan eventually to go stage 3 in the R. The GTI's I think tuned are more fun to drive. But I'm loving the R.
I do only 3gear pulls at 60. And when its not really cold out I have no issues with traction. But if i brake boost in 2nd gear I need some bigger tires for sure
You're a bad influence... I've been enjoying my IS38. But now that it's winter again. I'm huddled at my PC staying warm watching hybrid turbo builds such as yours and am wanting to say fuck it and swap my IS38 out for one. I have everything needed for it other than LPFP and of course the turbo & then protune for such. But if I'm gonna do it. I'll swap to MPI from HPFP. $$$$$ An easy extra 6k to swap up. (Turbo, MPI, LPFP, Sensors, Protune). If I'm willing to do that, may as well put that 6k aside for a down on an A90 and use my MK7 as trade.
It adds up in a hurry. LW wheels, sticky tires, suspension, intake, intercooler, downpipe, catback. Plan on $8k just in hardware to get here, and that's if you do the labor yourself, and if you do your research so you buy ONLY the correct parts on the first try. Luckily Ed, Matt, Dave & the gang @ EQT have done this so many times, they can advise you on what works, and what is a waste. Even my stock mk7 GTI feels pretty fast! It is the most fun car I have ever been in. I can't wait to do my stage 2!

You need some beefy taller sidewall and lower treadwear .nice 17" setup or even a 18" setup with a beafy 245/40/18

Dont know to be honest. I got base 93 tune just incase I travel somewhere and I cant find E85 pump.

@@LoXHumaN these cars can def do 500. Generally, depending on setup, you can get up to 550whp on the stock block before having big issues.
