I thought of a 5-player variant of this game. One player is Pac-Man, while the rest are ghosts. The turn order is Pac-Man, Blinky, Pinky, Inky, Clyde. (They are red, pink, blue, and orange respectively for you people who don't know which name goes to which color.) Pac-man rolls 3 dice, while the ghosts roll one die. As a ghost, you are unable to turn around 180 degrees at any time unless Pac-man has grabbed a power pellet on his last turn. You can pass other ghosts' spaces, but you cannot land on the same space as another ghost. Determine your path ahead of time to avoid this! When you catch Pac-man, he loses one of his 3 lives and you are the MVP of the round. If Pac-man eats all the dots on the board, he wins. If Pac-man runs out of lives before all the dots are eaten, the ghosts win.
It does look like a good decoration. I could see Pac-Man being placed on an office desk… people randomly pressing it to play the pellet eating sound effect. 😄
That's what's nice about board games. They're usually not too expensive. Although, I got this one when it was on sale. It was around 20% off… a little over $15. I checked Amazon, and the game is not on sale right now. However, Tetris was discounted, and that board game video should be on Photics.TV soon. 🙂
I can see that as a possibility. 😄 …but I thought it was fun. When giving a board game as a gift, it depends on the recipient. I like this game because I like Pac-Man. I think the design of the game is great. The figurines are cute and I like the little cutouts. So adorable! Thinking of other board games, I prefer Risk rather than Monopoly, because I think Monopoly is not as fun as the strategy of Risk. And currently, Connect 4 is the #1 board game on Amazon. Connect 4 is a nice game. But right now, I like Pac-Man more. (Although, wow, Connect 4 is an even cheaper gift. Currently at $7.49.) Candy Land was ranked high, but I think The Game of Life is more fun. That one wasn't even in the top 50. It was ranked #72.
I could see that too if you play on a computer or arcade. The gameplay is slower. Still, Pacman is loved, so I suppose people will enjoy it for the novelty.
@@PhoticsTV it feels like they used the same game plans as the old board game of the 80s (with the ugly Pac-scooper and Marbles), but changed it to be clean-up friendly. Imagine if the Donkey Kong board game is given the same treatment, but the character art is based on the 1994 Game Boy game.
Reminds me of the monopoly arcade pacman board, comes with a little arcade cabinet where when you pass go you play pacman for a few seconds and use the points to purchase levels, you also have coins to insert into it to keep track of players
This does seem like a game I'll put in storage, but then maybe play it again later. Except, there's a battery in Pac-Man. I haven't removed it yet, but I've been thinking about doing that. Buffalo Games did a nice job with Pac-Man. I don't want to accidentally break it.
I thought they were white marbles, but I wasn't sure. So I looked online. The pictures showed yellow dots on the board, but the marbles were white. That's the one from 1980s though. That's also the one with a creepy looking Pac-Man, with teeth. 😄
That's a way to improve the board game. I've only heard the Pac-Man figurine makes one sound effect… _“waka waka”_ …the munching a dot sound. It should make the game start melody and the sound when Pac-Man gets caught. When making the video for Tetris… th-cam.com/video/jWES2usUnqs/w-d-xo.html …I wanted to include background music, but I couldn't find the game. I thought I had Tetris for the original GameBoy.
Pac-man - моя любимая игра детства. Хорошо, что такие игры этой легендарной игры есть😁 Кстати, оставляю таймкод, чтобы зрители и вы могли посмеяться😂 4:47
Based on what I've seen in the comments here, and in the reviews on Amazon, people either think it's fun or it's boring. 😄 I think it's a cute game. Just yesterday, I was walking down the board game aisle and I was looking for something as fun (or even more fun) than this board game. Nothing looked that good… except that Connect 4 is a pretty cheap game.
I think it's a good game. I just checked Amazon and it was still available. So, your goal is still possible. 😄 That's a different situation than the Arcade 1Up Pac-Man HDMI Collection… th-cam.com/video/ea8I4EOLkdQ/w-d-xo.html …shortly after that game system was reviewed, it wasn't so easy to get anymore. I think it's discontinued. 🙁
It's got dice, it's got cards, it's got a flat playing area, and it has figurines - but it does feel different than a traditional board game. Perhaps it's because Pac-Man looks awesome. That's the standout piece of the whole game… but it is called Pac-Man.
The instructions say… _“When PAC-MAN eats a Power Pellet, he becomes energized”_ energizer is what we called it back in the 1980s. It seems interchangeable, but the board game instructions does call them Power Pellets.
This game look fun i remember going to the store and i saw this game on sale i was thinking of buying it but than i saw uno and got it because uno is the best game
I'm not 100% sure I understood the rules, but I think the main problem was that Pac-Man just got two bad rolls. Although, that could also be part of the strategy of the game. In the arcade, I usually wait for the ghosts to get closer to the energizer. I didn't do that in the board game.
It's tougher to get this board game outside of the United States, but not impossible. Depending on the location, the shipping could cost more than the board game. 😧
The instructions say, _“When a ghost is eaten, the PAC-MAN player collects a Blue Ghost Token and places it in his score pile. Each Blue Ghost Token is worth 200 points!”_ …so it looks like those little disks are a way of keeping score. Ghosts are only 200 points each. Apparently, it's not 200, 400, 800, 1600, like in the arcade. And for fruit, it says, _“If a Fruit Card is drawn, then place a fruit token on PAC-MAN's start space.”_ Apparently, it increases in value during Pac-Man's turn. It goes like this… 🍒- 100 Points 🍓- 200 Points 🍊- 500 Points That's similar to the arcade, but strawberries are worth 300 in the arcade. The big points are from completing all the dots in one of the four sections, which is 800 points each. Although it says an alternate scoring is to count each dot as 40 points… for more arcade like experience. It also mentions rules for "Arcade Mode", where Pac-Man has three lives, rather than just one in the standard rules.
Do you mean Sonic The Hedgehog Crash Course? That game looks cute! I'm still testing out if Board Games are going to be a regular thing on the channel. The next one is a more portable version of Connect 4.
Pac-Man was included with the board game. It was on Amazon. I haven't seen that Pac-Man sold separately. I searched for “Pac-Man Figurine” and “Pac-Man Toy”, but I didn't see anything that was very close to the Pac-Man in the Board Game.
Wow! That's disappointing to see, especially since Pac-Man was originally created in Japan. And even though Buffalo Games is in the United States, it looks like this board game was made in China. I'm surprised that this game isn't easier to get over there. Although, the Japan version of the Amazon website doesn't work for you? 🤔
First, I don't know exactly why this video is so popular. There were another 11 similar videos created for the 12 Days of Christmas playlist… th-cam.com/play/PLORkPhKfIRglkwf_XzbcCAk1xL6rFtF72.html …and the other Pac-Man video in the list barely currently has less than 1000 views. Next, I think the question is better reversed, why did a video with 1.5 Million views only generate ~2600 subscribers? 🤔
I think it depends on the players. It's basically Pac-Man in slow motion. So, I can see how that might not be appealing. Yet, with a group of players that are silly, strategical, and friendly, that could be entertaining.
I'm not from Peru, so I don't know. I went to the Amazon website, loaded up the Pac-Man The Board Game page, and changed the destination to Peru. It said… _“No Import Charges & $24.37 Shipping to Peru ”_ Again, I'm not the expert on such matters, but that shipping cost is more expensive than the game. 😄 Although, I saw another page that said… _“Free International Shipping to Peru - Orders with at least $49 USD of eligible items and shipping to a Peru address qualify for Free International Shipping. To learn more about eligibility requirements please visit the, How to get FREE Shipping to Peru page.”_ So, maybe Amazon could work… although reaching the free shipping requirement seems to be a challenge. This is something to check with Amazon though.

If Pac-man eats all the dots on the board, he wins. If Pac-man runs out of lives before all the dots are eaten, the ghosts win.
Interesting! 🤔
I’m just trying my luck with this and it doesn’t look too great for the job so far
And the way the new ones come up I just need the 😊
I was thinking the same thing actually that it used 1 dice as the ghosts however that's the plus side of board games there isn't just one way to play
His little bewewewew sound effect was so cute!
😄
I think it would make a nice display.
It does look like a good decoration. I could see Pac-Man being placed on an office desk… people randomly pressing it to play the pellet eating sound effect. 😄
Used to play a pac man board game at my grandma's house.
Wish i had another for my current house.

Man this game looks so cool, I think I remember that I have it

This would be a nice gift for the board and figures alone
The Pac-Man figure is really cute.
The Ghosts need moving eyeballs. 😄
It's charming. I'd give it a try or two
It's a cute game! It's a little loud, so maybe it's better suited for outside in the backyard, on a nice Spring day… not too sunny, not too windy. 😄
I remember having the old one with the yellow balls, took ages to set up lol
I thought they were white marbles, but I wasn't sure. So I looked online. The pictures showed yellow dots on the board, but the marbles were white. That's the one from 1980s though.
That's also the one with a creepy looking Pac-Man, with teeth. 😄
Looks really cool
I think it looks a lot better than the one from the 1980s, but the yellow pegs are a little tedious. I think while marbles are more fun. 😄
❤❤❤❤ Wow! While watching this video, I was playing the pac man theme music when the game starts!
That's a way to improve the board game. I've only heard the Pac-Man figurine makes one sound effect… _“waka waka”_ …the munching a dot sound. It should make the game start melody and the sound when Pac-Man gets caught.

“Inky Attacks” is one of the best parts of the video. 😄
I had a PacMan game as a kid but the dots were marbles.
I think I remember the marbles and playing the original Pac-Man board game, but I'm not sure if I'm confusing it with Hungry Hungry Hippos. 😄
the ghost house is actually called the "regeneration chamber" also i dont think pacman or the ghosts can go through walls
At the end of the video I was just smushing the yellow dots. The game was not in play at that point. 😄
@@PhoticsTVThe clicks of pushing the dots down feels satisfying.
I vaguely remember seeing this game in the stores years ago, but I've never had a chance to play it.
I wasn't expecting this video to be so popular, especially considering that the game isn't new. But, it's a cute game. 😃
mat said that the pellets are the ghosts eggs

Perhaps it's because Pac-Man looks awesome. That's the standout piece of the whole game… but it is called Pac-Man.
I need 3
I looked at the Amazon website and the Pac-Man board game was in stock. There was a quantity dropdown, and the number three was selectable.
"Energizer" ummmmmm that's actually called a power pellet🤓🤓🤓🤓
The instructions say… _“When PAC-MAN eats a Power Pellet, he becomes energized”_ energizer is what we called it back in the 1980s. It seems interchangeable, but the board game instructions does call them Power Pellets.
We tried to play but it was a bit hard to play because of time to try to learn
There is a bit of setup and learning to this game. I think that's part of the experience though. It was fun setting this game up. 😄
This game look fun i remember going to the store and i saw this game on sale i was thinking of buying it but than i saw uno and got it because uno is the best game
UNO is currently #10 in “Dedicated Deck Card Games”. The top three in that category involve tacos and/or burritos. 😄
It doesn’t seem fair they the ghosts can just get Parkman out right after the energizer is eaten, Parkman doesn’t even get until his next turn
I'm not 100% sure I understood the rules, but I think the main problem was that Pac-Man just got two bad rolls.
Although, that could also be part of the strategy of the game. In the arcade, I usually wait for the ghosts to get closer to the energizer. I didn't do that in the board game.
