"Walau sudah mempelajari beberapa seni bela diri lain, Kai Lewis mengaku langsung terpesona setelah melihat video pencak silat panglipur. Ia lantas belajar dari guru silat panglipur terkenal, Cecep Rahman, dan sejak tahun 2018 mengajarkannya kepada para muridnya di Rice University, Houston, Texas.
"Even though he had studied several other martial arts, Kai Lewis admitted that he was immediately fascinated after seeing the Panglipur pencak silat video. He then learned from the famous Panglipur silat teacher, Cecep Rahman, and since 2018 has been teaching it to his students at Rice University, Houston, Texas."
