  • This video shows the repair of a non starting 3.5HP Craftsman Tiller. It has the same intro. as the previous video repairing the rewind.

    I always add a inline filter and fuel shutoff . I buy them from eBay 10 or so at time so they don't cost much. Great video :)

      Great idea.about a filter. I use them when the fuel tank has had crud in it. After I flush it sometimes I don't feel good about how clean it is. Great idea about the shut off. I have tried on some mowers but somtimes there isn't room for both. What do you do?Bruce

    Where is the engine model number on these older Tecumseh engines? I recently bought a tiller just like this one and will be working on it soon. I assumed it's the number stamped on the crank rope housing but it's not been helpful.

      It is a tough thing. Not like a briggs. There will be a number on the rewind housing write it down and google the heck out of it. Sorry that is all i have.

      @@BrucesShop I need 2 head bolts and the plate that accesses the valve adjustments and a carburetor. It's gonna be tough!

    Bruce what size is the belt on this? My dad has the same one but the belt has disintegrated. Having a tough time finding one.

    Nice work Bruce. I have an old two stroke been wanting to get going although I dont till lol. I have had it runing I have a crazy idea for it if I get the time.

      Great. My wife and I just went to a show last night. It was a Bob Dylan tribute band. They played a lot from "The Band". Heard a lot of 12 bar blues. da da da da .- do do do do etc. hahahaha

      One of my boys are called Dylan I saw him live here in Switzerland great stuff. But the the older stuff was better. I am sure we will be playing the bad knee blues soon. Dave;-)
