Eric, you saved me $520 with this sort of plastic removal video. Got a new car. Wanted the electronic windshield mirror with automatic dimming at night. Dealer quoted $675. Bought the mirror new for $155. I had to snap-off the center ceiling-counsel plastic-cover. I would never ever have had nerve to do that without videos like this from you. It did snap apart (no screws). Undid the old mirror, one screw. Screwed in the new mirror. Plugged it into the wiring harness socket that was Right There under the cover. Snapped it all back together. Fifteen minutes start to finish, and I am a computer programmer with 0.25 hours of auto-mechanic experience. You have no idea how many people like me you have helped and how much money we have saved.

My dad had a Hyundai Accent he got from auction for £200. We did the clutch, the timing belt, and some fuel pipes. It was a pretty good car for around town. It also had a 1 star rating for crash tests. We called it the Hyundai Accident.

If it wasn't for the rust buckets, you would have a 9am to 3pm job Monday to Thursday - have to have 3 day weekends of course. Only thing that upsets you is when we, the viewers, don't comment. I'm glad that it's an easy part to change out. I have had to change out the wiper control on my daughter's '02 Hyundai Elantra twice in four years. When my daughter moved out of state, she decided that she did not want the car anymore. So, daddy decided to take it. New tires and a few minor repairs later, that car runs like a top. It may be 21 years old but it makes a great around town car. Love the 36mpg it gets.

Over 20 years ago, I had to replace the fuel pump on my 91 Nissan Sentra. The best price for the pump was actually at the dealership but it was going to take 2 weeks to get it. I found it at NAPA for about $2 more with next day delivery. When I pulled the old pump out and compared it to the new one, the brand name and model number were the same. I told the service manager at the dealership about it and his response was that he wished he had known about that because they lost a fuel pump replacement job because they couldn't get the new pump soon enough. He said he was going to make a note for the parts department to check with NAPA when they had long wait times for parts in the future. I also got an ignition coil for that car from NAPA that had the Nissan logo on it and several relays for various cars that had factory logos under the NAPA stickers.

Im a GM guy. Always have been. Ive owned 150 plus cars from my flipping car days.
But I will say Hyundai makes a fantastic product. We bought my wife's 02 Sonata from a kia dealer in 2019 with 77k original miles. Its at 120k now and has given us absolutely no issues. Had to put a new AC compressor but thats the only "major" thing, and that was in 2020. So an 18 year old compressor is bound to fail.
And now i have a car ive wanted since i was a teenager in the need for speed underground days. Mines an 06 Tiburon SE in Orange Crush. The SE was only available with a 6 speed manual and orange crush was an SE only color. It has 126k miles on it and it runs and drives flawless. I had to replace the ac compressor as well, my clutch wouldnt kick on. System had no leaks. Got a new compressor from oreilly, had it professionally evac and charged, new compresor leaked from the front seal immediately and wouldn't hold freon after two days. So warranty swapped it and paid for the evac and charge again, 150$ each time, and she's had ice cold ac for over a month with no leaks.
Moral is, Hyundai makes a fantastic vehicle. People can talk bad about the engine recall all they want...every manufacturer has big issues with their vehicles.
And, we live in ohio, rust belt, and my wifes car has been in Ohio all its life...and theres barely surface rust underneath. Mine has no rust either.

Stalk switch went on my wife's Exploder...I was pleasantly surprised to find out the replacement switch (entire stalk) was only $20! I mean, that's still $15 more than what FMC paid for it in the factory...and the part came from FCSD, which means they probably paid $5 for it too...but you gotta have that guaranteed profit a rolling! LOL. Easy Peasy replacement too!

Two years ago i did the front bearings on my ‘02 s10 along with much of the front suspension. This week i took it off roading and river fording, and it did well, but on the way home, it developed a pretty loud hum. I think its one of the bearings - front right wheel was hot. So, i gotta go back in. Thanks to mr O i used lots of anti seize and grease when i put it together, and I know to use the timken bearings this time also. Probably will help the longevity if i dont forget the dust cover again and crush the o ring and pop the sealed bearing apart like i did last time haha.

Not correct. A professor from Wayne State University located in Detroit Michigan invented the first delayed wiper system. They had to pay him a certain amount for each delayed wipers that was installed in vehicles.
