I was in the market for 3 years looking for building in Honolulu area with not pool or other amenities and couldnât find not even 1 that wasnât 40 years old and getting close to need pipes, roof, elevator, and sprinkler to be repaired + with popcorn ceilings, mold, and termites, and zero renovations in over 20 years or ever. And not interested to buy in ewa or kapolei and spend 2 hrs of my day sitting in traffic. Time is money.

I hope MtH has a list of all the good HOAs vs. bad ones, because the bad ones outnumber the good ones by 5:1 or more. I wish Civil Beat had the money to conduct a survey of the condo owners throughout Oahu.
