I also have always known elementary palang that I am a lesbian, but as somebody who grew up sa conservative home and provincial culture, I never knew how to really come out “properly”. I would bring girlfriends and introduce them as bestfriends, then when I was confronted by my fam about being gay, I flat out denied and changed the topic, then I became out with family and friends but had my family restricted sa social media, and then I finally removed the restrictions, but refused to answer questions. My family are homophobic, I know that for sure kase they would have side comments re people from LGBTQIA community. But then one day, my mom died, and I snapped and came out to my dad (we were surrounded by family) - during my mom’s wake. I came out, more so they would know about my SOGIE while they are still alive, and less so that they will accept me. I did not care anymore what my family thinks. It did not matter what they think, I will live my truth, while simultaneously being my father’s kid, my grandparents’ grandaughter, my family’s family. I am finally out.
So while watching this vlog, hindi ko namalayan na tumulo na yung luha ako. I think this video gives me comfort and I'm also happy for the both of you po, mama Agnes and mama Pat. Wala lang po, sobrang proud lang po ako sa inyo, sa mga pagsubok na pinagdaanan niyo hanggang sa kung nasaan man kayo ngayon. I wish that some day I will find that strength to come out. I also want to share na I feel that yung message niyo para sa younger self niyo is parang naging message niyo rin for me,medyo assuming ko sa part na ito pero na feel ko lang po na para rin sa akin yun so ayun po I just wanna thank you po for that and also for making this vlog, I hope you continue to make more vlogs kasi isa po kayo sa mga pahinga ko.
