I’m heading to this cruise in October! I was hearing some mixed things about the jewel, glad to see this vid! Really excited about the food. How is the entertainment aspects?
OOohh! let me know how your cruise goes! Well, the entertainment was...... OK. I did include a brief video of Leo, one of the singers on the cruise. The comedian/magician, JP Parent was GREAT! They did advertise a musical show or two... We were going to see one show one night (I think a 1970s pop musical). It was cancelled for technical issues. They showed it again another night, but we didn't bother. Honestly, we were so excited about just being in Alaska, watching stuff from our balcony, etc, that we didn't pay a lot of attention to the entertainment, BUT, I would say that, in general, the entertainment schedule was not as "packed" as it was on our previous Norwegian cruise a few years earlier.

I would say, if you you are going on an Alaskan cruise, bring layers, and generally dress on the very warm side. No need to bring shorts. I often had on my winter coat, but it wasn't always needed.... if that helps.
We went on this cruise the end of September 2022. We loved it so much we are going again the same week in September in 2024. It will be our 3rd time on the Jewel, love the ship. The food is great, nothing wrong with it. We love cooler weather, so that isn't a problem either. The less sunshine, the better. Awesome video!

Thinking about taking the Jewel to Mexica this April. How was the buffet?
Good.... all of the food was good. The buffet seemed well stocked and the dining area had plenty of seating.
