What you talk about at 2:50 can not be understated. We hacked our Magic Sorter to intercept the call back from their servers, lookup against the quantity in our bulk inventory, and set price to 0.01 (effectively our discard pile) if we have over 15 copies of it (given that it was not rare, not worth > 0.40c etc). It cut our processing down by 2/3, no joke. This excess bulk we're still able to ship off as bulk boxes on ebay (we fully disclose our practice and price our bulk at $40 shipped per 4,000 - and they sell out quickly)
Thanks Roy for sharing that - that’s awesome that Magic Sorters have at least something over the more pricy machines.
As someone starting a shop, your guidance has been immensely valuable.
I love that. Good luck on your business
I just reached 41K myself. It’s a grind but my inventory is very diverse.
I’m close to 200,000 on TCGPlayer
You're 100% right, Mason. For the price you said that Roca machine was it should definitely be able to sort by inventory quantity.
Maybe someday!
Grow your inventory, people will absolutely pay the .50 on tcgplayer if they can get all the cards they need from you/one place, and does save money overall as they would have to pay the shipping for each separate card that just doesn’t make it worth it plus nobody wants 50 packages when they can have 1
I just put everything on the platform (max 40 copies of each if random cards, more of those who actually sell regularly). Ive raised my floorprice twice (currently at 0.25 euros, about 0.28 dollars). Im amazed that every crap card eventually sells. Cards i dont even remember, so i dont dare to NOT put everything out there. I have my shipping cost set up, so even if someone just buy one 25 cent card, i atleast almost net 1 dollar on the shipping (after deducting cost for bubble envelope and SmartGaurd). I can easily pack 40 one card orders per hour, so they can order them all they want. The trouble is when they buy 50 different singles at 25 cents each. Less profit on that, haha. Once, when my floorprice was 5 cents, one guy ordered 1700 cards (only a few of each, which is even worse when the number of each copy varies) and all were 5-10 cent cards. It ended up like 220 euros, shipping included , and took me a full workday to pull out the cards. After that i raised my floorprice pretty quick xD Love the vids Mason. Keep em comin.
Mason doing everything he can to boost his TCGplayer social score
Definitely a big miss not being able to tie in live inventory. ROCAs are great but it definitely surprised me a few things they just seem to completely whiff on,
It adds touches to pre-processing but one thing you can do for foils or stamped cards is to set them into their own piles as you load your machines (just a quick glance at each card as you build your trays/hoppers (you may be doing this for Holo vs RevHolo anyway). Since Roca's have Set specification you can tailor your "Stamped" sorts to just the Sets that would qualify instead of needing to correct them later.
Absolutely- good call there. Great to see how others have optimized
I have a .05 cent floor and sell at direct low + 3%. Stuff that doesn’t move I put in the bulk lots put on eBay and usually make more than the bulk rate after shipping and fees
Super excited to get my Phyzbatch next month. I currently run 2 Magic Sorters. Those 2 combined can sift/sort 500 cards per hour. The Phyzbatch will be able to sift over 3,500 cards per hour. 7x faster than my current operation. Excited for you to do a deep dive video on that machine as well!
Also, with Pokemon in particular, I would strongly encourage you to sift out anything .15 and lower. There's tons and tons and tons and tons of Pokemon cards that are .05-.08 that will never sell. I have 150,000 cards in inventory right now that I sifted at .10 and I get maybe a few orders per day. They are taking up space for no reason. So I will be clearing my inventory to get rid of those cards soon. Learn from my mistake haha.
Thanks for sharing all that! The phyzbatch is definitely going to speed up what you put through the magic sorters.
Having the option to individually select cards on the roca woulda be amazing. Would love to see a video on roca vs p9000. Know p9000 got that gag order. Maybe could still leave a honest review?
They recently lifted this. A video on it will be coming soon!
You just have to know what to list and what to keep moving. Wasting time on c/uc from any modern set is only going to devalue the card itself and drive you crazy when you're pulling 148 cards for an order and only make 4$.
What type of orders is best/worst for you?
Yikes on those Lorcana product prices!
Sam's guitar skills are just as great as his TCGPlayer skills, ask him about music sometime :)
Great video Mason!
Haha, that’s awesome. I definitely will next chat.
Intriguing question time: what about CK buylisting some bulk? Like I know CK buys M11 shocks for a penny, and since it would take forever to sell a shock on direct…
Really enjoyed this style of video
why dont you make tornaments with the cards that don't sell and the winners get x,y,z from it
Liking this new series…
Gahbblesss I forget what we decided on
Over here is me listing one card at a time. 😭
You gotta start somewhere!
140 for new Lorcana gift set is wild. Lol
Is it possible to set a floor price of 5 cents on direct eligible orders while having a non-direct order floor price of 50 cents? As a direct seller, i start getting tons of non-direct orders when i set my floor to 5 cents even with 1.99 shipping.
Only thing you can have different pricing for is local vs marketplace sadly
Surprised it is only 6-20% premium to be honest

I’m on direct. How do you get in that program?

Can you elaborate on how ya'lls ROCA deals with PKMN? Our store is considering getting one soon.
Is there something in particular you want me to cover? I’d love to make a video about Pokémon specifically
@@CNA-Games it’d be nice to know if a Roxa can accurately decipher between deck exclusives, league PRs. Can a Roca find the differences between cosmo, shatter and Reverse Holos? How does a Roca react to textured Pokemon and can a Roca filter out counterfeits.
Thank you for your reply.
how dare you Mason i collect Caterpie cards lol but yeah cool video
Poor Caterpie lol
Depends what caterpie 😂
