Where's Whitman? - Trepang2 Iron Dragon Data Center Gameplay Revisited (Run #2 For HVT Science)

My second run of Iron Dragon Data Center tonight, following the previous upload I did of this level. This time, I used SMGs instead of Pistols for my "secondary" to go with my Shotgun.
I got Whitman to show up on Wave 10 again here; decided to give him a "special welcome" once I saw him. I'm not sure if people are super unlucky for their runs, or their game was acting like, "whatever" for Whitman's spawn. But it feels like Wave 10 is the magic number for Whitman.
I think the reason why people don't view the SMG in Trepang2 as favorable compared to the Pistol when fighting Juggernauts, is because the SMGs eat up a lot of ammo before you break the Juggernauts' armor. The SMG is a decent starting weapon, but loses it's effectiveness once you start seeing Horizon Elite Guards and less of the Mallcop dudes.
Also, Pistol ammo seems to be more common than SMG ammo during late game encounters; the Ballistic Shield Grunts carry this the most. I suppose I got lucky when more of those Hacker guys appeared, which is how I got more SMG ammo later on. Otherwise, I'd say you're better off with the Rifle if you want an automatic with your loadout.
I'll do another Iron Dragon Data Center run with the Rifle after this upload's up; probably tomorrow to make the science spread out! But it seems the consensus is Whitman shows up at Wave 10, if you want to take him down for your HVT target list.
