I've probably asked couple big youtubers that offroad/Overland about any concerns on weight or weight savings with their rig and never got a response.

    I was looking at the same setup from OK4WD; great prices and it makes a great platform to build off. With that said the loss of storage with two large dogo's has me turning towards the new OBI Dweller15 or OBI Conqueror UEV 490 from Toms RV in AZ. The ability to park the OBI in the garage was a huge selling point

      @seekoutbeautydanielelo6360 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It doesn’t rattle. Why do you prefer a pop up? Wedges have great volume and height above where your faces goes and do better in wind.

    I have one on order for my 6 foot bed Tacoma. Not sure if you know it not, but they also recommend a helper spring or air bags to help with the weight. The barebones unit is 450 Ibs. or so I was told.

    • @seekoutbeautydanielelo6360
      @seekoutbeautydanielelo6360 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Air bags are not needed. A good leaf pack spec'd appropriately will perform better off-road.

    Next week..... George gets a Prevost!
    I camped next to a guy at the Florida overland expo a couple of weeks ago with that exact setup. (Except his also had a traction pad locker by the back window).
    Insanely nice - ultimately impractical. He couldn't even do the easy obstacle course with that heavy, tippy, bulky thing on there.
    I challenge you to change my mind. Once done, take it down Black Bear pass again and I'll say I'm wrong. Do you accept?
    If not you're building a mall crawler!

    • @bustabeatgeorge

      So you admit you're building a mall crawler.
      It's a shame, you made some really cool videos.
      I don't know about anyone else, but watching a family camping channel where someone goes dirt roading isn't very entertaining. There are tons of hot young chick's in bikinis that do that out of their sprinter vans! You don't look good enough to carry a channel in a swimsuit bro. Hahaha.

      I dont know about anyone else, but Tom A sounds like a real condescending douche...but that's just me...no offense intended.
      You DO know that TH-cam videos, channels, etc...are optional viewing. If you don't like it, don't fucking watch it. But if you do, It can't be a bigger waste of time than you posting about shit that you don't find entertaining...like anyone else gives a fuck about what you like. Maybe broaden your horizons and try to understand that the world of camping and overlanding is multifaceted and not relegated to offroading Black Bear pass. Getting off grid and making the camping easy, is the objective.
