  • Tamiya Grand Hauler TAM56334 with MFC Part 4 - The First Drive of the Finished Truck
    This final part of the build series of this amazing truck kit. This Grand Hauler and the MFC are completely as cool as they seem like they would be! We will take it out on its maiden run and see it in all of its glory. If you have never seen one of these trucks in person you are missing out!
    I was recently gifted a supremely special gift of a Tamiya Grand Hauler with the Tamiya Multi-Function Control Unit (MFC) TAM56511 to go into it by The RC Elf. A Tamiya 1/14 scale semi-truck has been on my radar for many years now and now I am finally able to build one. If you have not, go back and watch the other 3 in the series and see how it all happened!
    Thanks again to the RC Elf and let get into the video!

      It is a complete adventure. Trucks and buggies are fun but can be built in hours. These things take time and attention to detail. I absolutely loved building it and it was the longest build I have ever done but it felt like it went by in a flash!!! If you can use Tower Hobbies as they have great coupon codes that can save you a lot of money on one. They are expensive but there is a lot that is in there! The sad thing is the MFC is terribly expensive but you can build it with a HW1060 ESC and a cheap crawler.motor and still have a complete blast with it!!!

      It is a really fun build and not as bad as many people fear. It is a typical.tamiya build just a lot more parts! Take your time on the paint job as it is 90% of the truck's appearance. Also make sure you have all the parts you need to paint before you start, I spent a lot of time having to wait for paint to cure on one silly part I missed and it slowed the whole project.down! You will have a great time both building and driving it!!!

      Th RC Elf did a tremendous amount for a bunch of channels by send them cars. I was extremely blessed to have him send me multipole kits and without his generosity and support I do not think I would be a big of a channel as I am now or even still doing this. He proved to me there are great, kind souls still out there and people still believe in others and want to see them succeed. I am still humbled when I see the various kits he sent me and can never thank him enough for all the support.

    I have wanted one of those for many years. They are out of my budget for now. Does that kit come with all the lights and sounds?

    • @AddamsPlayground
      @AddamsPlayground  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It does not come with the lights and sounds. For lights you can use a standard light kit to do basic light, brakes and turn signals, For the sounds you need a full controller like the Tamiya MFC or one of the Beier sound and light kits. If I build another one, which I really want to I will be using the Beier controllers as they are a little less expansive and your can do a lot more programming and customizing to both the lights and sounds. So sadly to get lights and sounds you do have to spend a fair amount for them but if you do save up enough to get one I think they are well worth the time and money. I want to do a themed one, I would love to do the truck from the Maximum Overdrive movie! Thanks for watching and start that Grand Hauler piggy bank fund!
