    I think the jp15 has a more gritty tone...a kind of a raw attack. The majesty sounds more "round up"

      There are definitely differences for sure. Depending on the play style that you have and the gear that you’re on the guitar through you can achieve different results.

      Yeah of course,physically,JP15 is flat,not convex like Majesty,which means Jp15 has less mid。 I ve tried majesty 7strings,i think is a nice guitar,and jp15 maybe will be my next choice ❤😋

    Great comparison. To me the Majesty sounds fuller, warmer, pick attack is smoother. The JP sounds "dryer", tighter, more focused and agressive. To be honest that's exactly what I was expecting and why I think the JP's strength is (because of the bolt on neck) : tight rythm work, and the Majesty's strength is (because of the mahogany neck through) : buttery af lead work. But both are incredible guitars.

      I love the feel of both guitars, and they are both such a pleasure to play. I currently have the JP 15 in standard tuning for one band I’m filling in for, and my Majesty down a half step in E flat standard tuning for my main band. And they are both fantastic night after night.
      I think the JP bridge responds better than the Majesty bridge if I’m being honest. I set up my guitars myself and I can just get a better response from the JP than the majesty. But I believe it be majesty Piezo is better than the JP Piezo.

      @@ZackSeifMusic I thought you said they had the same bridge and piezo system. Are they different?

    • @ZackSeifMusic
      @ZackSeifMusic  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@michaelsnydermusic According to the website they are the same Piezo saddles. But the Majesty bridge and JP15 bridge are different, you can tell just by looking at the two guitars.
      The reason I say that they sound different is because the overall combination of all of the factors, including the wood and the active electronics, will factor in to how they sound.

    I love my JP-15, but I found the Illuminator pickups had such a different tone profile than every other guitar I had, that it was either "have separate patches for the JP15" or replace the pickups. I opted for the latter, and put in Ibanez gold, the Tone Zone and Air Norton combo. Very pleased with the result. Had to order them special from Dimarzio with the quick-change mount plate, but for an extra $8 each, it made the swap of both an extra 5 minutes in a string change. Great video as always, Zack!

    Great comparison !! I thnk I like the JP15 sound better. Also, try not to let the strings ring at the end before comparing so we know more of how they both sound back to back real quick. Just IMO

    If you listen carefully on the clean part, the Majesty sound was clear but lost its definition/clarity as soon as you use the tremolo and on the JP 15 it retains all the clarity and kept ringing.

    As an unworthy owner of a Majesty, I got to say, is the utterly most anatomical comfy guitar that I ever played.

    Classic JP BFR models always sounded better to me. Kind of a deal breaker how all the JP15's being offered have illuminators instead of the other models. Those are the ones I like the least. And Crunch Lab / Liquifire seems to be the more popular combination imo.

    very nice...
    How was the neck? Kind of fat? I'm playing a Schecter Apocalypse with the FR and the neck is a slim 1.625 with not much depth. I've got a pattern regular PRS too...that's about my limit for fatness. The problem for me with "branded" guitars is...ALL my heroes have HUGE hands...I do not. They both sounded great over youtube. Thank you

    • @ZackSeifMusic
      @ZackSeifMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both necks are on the thin side. I don’t like Ibanez Wizard necks which are the thinnest I’ve played, these are just a step above but thinner than any PRS Pattern Thin or Fender I’ve ever played. Very smooth and comfy.

    I can’t quite say why, but I thought the JP15 sounded “better.” And by better, I mean to my ears. Can’t explain what it was.

    • @ZackSeifMusic

      I find guitars to be very interesting. I love how both of them sound and how both of them feel, so I can pick up either of them and have a great time. But as you said there is a difference between them and some people prefer the sound of one over the other. It just goes to show that every single part of the guitar makes a difference!

    • @jimlaurita1487
      @jimlaurita1487 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ZackSeifMusic exactly! I mean the majesty is a grail guitar for sure and it absolutely doesn’t sound “bad.” There’s a slight tonal difference is about all I can really point to. Then again, maybe a different Majesty and a different JP and the sound changes.
