- The Casio A168W, A-168W, A168 has one of the worst names in horological history. Nonetheless this is an ICON that stayed extremely affordable. Worth adding to your collection, yes indeed.
The A168 is very closely related to the F-91W which is the archetype of any and all quartz watches...
Finally someone shows the watch actually on the wrist !!

I have recently started collecting Casio watches, this one takes me back in time. I owned one in the mid 90s and wore it out. I've had several different watches since and I spotted this one at Walmart for $22 and decided, why not? Anyway, great review on a great brand of watch. Thanks.

I love these watches, I have the 158 for 5 years now and I'm thinking about getting the 168 also. I also have an f91w.
I haven’t owned a digital watch since the 80s, I think it’s time to change that.
Do what I did - buy selection 5 Casios from F91 to A168, for about $80 USD if you shop around.
That Casio may be affordable, but that DE GRIFF shirt is priceless :-)

Which one is better
Excellent video. To me this watch is perfect, being easy to use with all the features I need and an easy-to-read display even when using the backlight.

Yes,there is a new version of the A168WA that has just been released because of the Wonder Woman film it has the WR logo at the base of the dial in between the word water resistance. You can now buy it on Amazon RG Sydney Oz

No it is not but the date is easy to change

Is it just me? Or is anyone else having their watch lose 1 second after a couple of days? I have to readjust mine every week so it doesn’t get ahead
if it's mechanical it's more than normal, if it's quartz it's still normal lol
pretty common with quartz. In fact, quarts is more accurate than mechanical.

You and many others for sure. Unfortunately it is not. I have to say though, I have been wearing mine a LOT and for a long time now, the case holds up quite well. The bracelet takes most of the beating and that is in metal, quite smart by CASIO.
@@degriff Same here, it works really good even with the plastic case. And at a price of 15 dollars I can't complain.
Some new casio vintage models are with metal case. I think one day we also get a metal version for this one. Then it would be really invincible!

Congrats. You can resize the bracelet very easily (you can even do it with a fork ) and it will certainly fit a small wrist without any problem. You just need to unlock the clasp, and slide it along the bracelet to a spot that fits you 👍

Not an expert or anything but I'm pretty sure you have the A158W. The A168W has an greyscale face and is more expensive

The 168 is bigger and the logos and face print is different. This is a 158?
This model is casio 158, not 168
While similar - No it is not. It is literally engraved on the case. Check also 1:45 👍

The 158 doesn't have the "Electro Luminescence" backlight, while the 168 does. It's clearly indicated on the model shown here.
