It's a beta that takes a a hefty cut already. Site needs to work.
This is a site that's designed to sell stuff, why does it look like a gallery site instead? You're competing with Fiverr and the like, yet search sucks and they take a huge cut if someone randomly falls over your page.
I returned after some bullshit I had with their marketing, since now you could invite people, but actually no, you need to do more advertising for them by challenges to EARN an invite. You should feel honored to be on this absolute mess of a site.

That's a very good point, I haven't had money to commission yet so I hadn't seen from a buyers POV. This seems like such an obvious need though, to just list the listings pertaining to the tag? I'm surprised it's not a thing yet.

Being an artist on there, it's important to see the buyer's perspective. A lot of sites I try and sit back and act like I've never used the site before and how it would be possible to find my own work.

I just stumbled upon this video and it's so real.. the current search system is so frustrating both as a consumer but as an artist. As an artist, if you're not getting as many clients as others who do similar work, such as #Pixelart your work gets completely drowned out. If you do happen to be lucky and get a handful of customers, people will continue to only go to you, because literally only your artwork shows up in the Showcase section. As a consumer, you might not even know there's an artist that does exactly what you want because you can't find any listings. You have to either get lucky with looking at every artist individually, or pray they've already done commissions and you see it randomly in the showcase section that's incredibly biased and/or flooded with the same artists who happen to be getting a ton of commissions

This doesn't even cover the fact that a few days ago they limited non-verified artists to only 5 listings and 5 showcase images. You HAVE to get clients off of VGen with your own work to funnel them into the site so they can get a cut.

its so frustrating to search for something specific and finding only artists who are open for everything BUT what you are filtering for, or artists that are missusing tags cause eh its a full illustration sure it can be marked as an overlay since it can be used as a waiting screen if you really wanted to
i dont wanna have to manually go through hundreds of profiles just to see what they /actually/ offer in hopes one of them fits what im looking for and my filter criteria that i set up in the first place how does this make it any easier for the clients

Right exactly. Listing sites exist so you don't have to hunt in the first place, advanced searching should be it's basic function.

this, would not even be a hard fix, they could still keep the current system and just make you able to search several tags.
like #pixelart #backgrounds this is suchh a bad way to do this :/

Yeah just multi-search terms would be the easiest but for some reason they really push uploading like a gallery which defeats the purpose of being a listing site.

I just wanted to say that a lot of ppl say that to become a pngtuber you have to have like ur avatar and everything and i made my avatar and i want to be a pngtuber but i'm not sure if the avatar is good enough and i can't join comisions for png avatars 'cuz i'm not 18+ so yeah.... I'm afraid that my avatar looks like a 8y/o drew it(you can see it on my banner and pfp).....

    • @skiyoshiVT
      @skiyoshiVT ปีที่แล้ว +2

To be a pngtuber you just need the png and that's it, you're good. You don't need some super high quality PNG to be one, it doesn't guarantee any success either. Also, your art doesn't look like an 8 y/o drew so don't worry about that!
I assume you're just streaming for fun. I'd wait until you're 18+ to commission, and for now just focus on getting started and spending time having fun being a pngtuber.
If you want to add some pizazz to your pngtuber, you could use Veadotube Mini to make it bounce when talking, and blink for example. PNGtuber Plus also does some cool stuff but Veadotube Mini looks like it's easier to get into.

You don't have to have something nice to be a pngtuber, just anything really! If you look at the permissions closely, you can use picrews as a placeholder as well. But make sure they allow it for "commercial" use, even if you aren't making money, streaming is usually considered to not be for personal use.
But specifically for you, what you've drawn is perfectly lovely :)
