In another video he shared how he memorizes scripture with Andre Davis’s An Approach to Extended Memorization of Scripture. I have struggled and resisted Bible memorization, but his method works. At the age of 70 I have begun memorizing the first chapter of Ephesians and just ten days in I have the first ten verses memorized. Thank you, Piper, for sharing this method.

GOD Carries Our HIS Sovereign Decrees by the Means HE Chooses. i encourage You to get a Firm Hold on Hermeneutics, and reading Holy Scripture in Context; Exegesis is sooo important. This will make the Holy Scriptures make sense and You will see that there is a continual flow to HIS Holy Text, making It easier to understand [Properly] and to memorize as well (as it has a continual flow that makes sense).
