Alaska’s Giant Bigfoot That Terrorized a Town, the Terrifying Nantinaq

  • In the abandoned town of Portlock, Alaska, something terrifying lurks: the Nantinaq, Alaska’s giant Bigfoot. In this Metaphysical episode, Rob and John investigate sightings of the strange “hairy man of Alaska,” discussing whether these claims are real, false, or if perhaps the answer lies somewhere in the middle. They also look into a place dubbed “Bigfoot Island,” and some extremely bizarre occurrences of 1500 lb. trees being turned upside down and driven 4 feet deep into the ground, with no evidence of human equipment involved in the process.
There is no stranger account of an Alaskan mystery than that of the abandoned village of Port Chatham, Alaska (Portlock). Residents were reportedly chased out by a series of murders, which were blamed on a strange beast from the forest. Now, the reports are split between 1) debunkers claiming there’s no evidence of the creature and 2) hunters traveling to the area, spending thousands to locate what they call the Alaskan Nantinaq-a Bigfoot larger, stronger and more ferocious than any other on the planet. And why wouldn’t it be? Not just anything can survive in Alaska.
Of stories and evidence of Bigfoot sightings around the world, some stand out more than others, especially when you get to the mysterious territories in the north and especially when you get to Alaska-a sparsely populated, volatile countryside in which legends have been passed down for generations verbally. Today, the mysteries have trickled down to Alaska’s current American inhabitants. Join investigative researcher Rob Counts and remote viewer John Vivanco for a show that’s out of this world.

Thank you so much! I’ve listened to Sasquatch TH-cam stories for years and of course Portlock is frequently mentioned. It’s a relief to know my favorite cryptid wasn’t to blame and instead other factors and a different being was part of the story.
I used to wish people knew that Sasquatch was real, but have come to believe that they (the Sasquatch) are far safer staying hidden. Humanity needs to evolve far more spiritually before learning of their existence to be able to properly accept and respect these beings.
I acknowledge that not all of them are safe for humans to be in their territory. The story about the one that ate the man and developed a taste for human flesh is chilling. But like John said, there are good humans and bad humans and so it is across all species. I believe the majority just want people to leave them alone.
Wonderful, informative show and the quality and timing of the graphics is outstanding! Thank you again - I’m so glad to have found this channel. Starting a subscription to Rise TV so I can watch the shows! ❤❤❤

I always love a Bigfoot (Sasquatch) story! If you read the books by SunBow TrueBrother and Kewaunee Lapseritis they touch on countless stories, the point they make of any violence is due to direct threat/injury by humans OR some Sasquatch hybrids were created specifically to scare and k*ll people so everyone would be afraid of them and that would make into the collective consciousness... meanwhile 99.9% want to help humanity, but they can't do that if we're A). scared B). don't believe they even exist and/or C). we're kept so disconnected from Source and Mother Nature we won't earn their help and respect.

I sang in the forest once at night when my sister and I and my freind got caught coming down on a trail too late to beat the sun going down. It was on Mt Rainier, WA and you couldn't even see you hand in front of your face it was so dark. I knew separating and wandering around in the dark was a bad idea. We sat down on the trail and yelled out for my freind's brothers who were already in the parking lot to get the rangers to come get us on the trail. My sister was little, like 9 so I sang to her until the rangers came to calm her. We had heard the knocks when we were going up the trail earlier, but then, we didn't really know what they were. I sang for at least 10 minutes. I did see amber eye shine next to us. There was three of something with amber eye shine just sitting still and listening. Weird I didn't smell them at all. Whatever it wa just listened peacefully and totally quiet, not making a sound. My freind never spoke to me again. She was white with fear when we left and unable to speak. I maintained calm bc it was my job as a big sister. My game face was unwavering.

Before hearing about other people seeing raptors, in the past 2 or 3 yrs, I thought it was just me.
I was reviewing handlebar cam from a dirt bike ride I did. On one pause, there's a clear as day raptor
running into the dirtroad ahead of me. It seemed to be caught in the fashion of how only modern cameras

I can’t do the “flesh and blood” thing anymore it just does not account for the phenomena. However it is important to ground the “woo” with common sense. Good point. However they’ve also been seen in areas that have only been logged by locals for home heat, With only chainsaws. Most of Alaska forests are not maintained by forestry. They’re overgrown and full of brush, dead trees ect… could be why the fires devastate so much land. I myself have experienced these trees when cutting wood with the family.

How can I believe what you are saying when you state the Russian hikers/campers had their "phones crushed"? The Dyatlov Pass incident happened in 1959. They had no phones. Two skulls had trauma and one person had a crushed chest. Researchers think it was due to climbing trees to get firewood and they fell. The others died from the cold. Right, right, right.

7:29 I would say that a ton of dogman sightings have been thought of as a Bigfoot sighting though.. And the dog man one seemed to be overwhelmingly negative for the most part. I had once figured they were the same thing myself. But even as you're saying, the people with the dogman stories very clearly experienced what they're saying..... And you can tell with some of them you can trust on the fact that they can tell you. I know what I saw of this or I was at a distance and it's possible with something else..... If they say they know what they saw and they're breaking out in sweats and stuff with PTSD from it then they saw it.
And the amount of stories that have been like that are pretty overwhelming at this point. And I think part of that's because of people like You discussing this topic instead of crappy shows on the Discovery channel dramatizing it and making it way different than it went down. And normally trying to discredit the experience......
    So thank you guys.

We have several different kinds and some are very big some gets to 20 or 25 ft up in Montana but they are peaceful but in Alaska they have gugwe and other types but gugwe is the one you never want to run into there big and very dangerous they almost look like a dogman with the extended snout. They will kill anything that comes in contact with them

    Heeeere it is again!
watched your show here, because I liked to hear Other People's stories about the Sasquatch Peoples, in Alaska. (The words I use in this comment, is EXACTLY what I mean to say.) I live in Alaska...in the Mountains (not going to disclose locations, names, or landmarks.) most of the Spring to Fall...DEEP WOODS ALASKA.
Do you know why the Natives believe more than the White People about Hairyman, Sasquatch, Yeti, Skunkape, etc?( and this has always turned out to be the case; with EVERY Native Tribe; around the Earth and the Land they have lived on for Centuries.
The reason the Natives believe more than the intruding People wanting to know more...is Because they have BEEN THERE and SEEN...FOR THEMSELVES exactly what they are telling us all! They aren't reading it from someone's opinion; from a story that "Steve" told "Tommy" who told "Betty"....then made an article...or a TH-cam video...then made a report off that!
I'm not being disrespectful...I am being bluntly honest. So, if you feel "attacked," or "bullied," or "shamed" here...that was not my intentions.
Thank you for the beautiful imagery of Alaska... to share with the World. Thank you for the time and effort you and your group have spent to share all of this with us: the graphics; the theatrics; trying to make this subject as entertaining as it could be...
Might i suggest... showing us your "data;" and your "research"; and your "interviews." Put THOSE up too so we can see what yoou guys are reading through.
    NOW the message...from the "source:"
The Sasquatch peoples?...WANT to be left to themselves, and how they live. They have watched what "humanity discovering new Tribes" has done through the Centuries! They.want.no.part...
Of what their-Cousin; Earthlings (again...I use my words on purpose) have to offer...
THAT is why you will never get the evidence you seek.
When "Mankind" changes how WE SEE the "Most different amongst Ourselves:
" Skin Colors; handicaps; deformities; Religions; beliefs...WE...will then be something THEY want to interact with.
These Peoples? Are 7ft-12ft-Tall; Incredibly intelligent; and severly Strong; and have "Other attributes" that the human Brain is capable of doing....
But, inside their Heart and mind?
They have the Emotional Capacity of a 4-7 year: development; of a "regular" Human-"child."
Become THAT...like a Child...like JESUS...inside your heart, and intentions, and your thoughts...
    and THEY...
    will seek YOU out.
The only reason I'm commenting...is because "Regular" Humans... NEED to know... that these Peoples don't want to be found! They will "Find" and "interact" with only what will keep them safe and alive.

You should be talking to the first nations of the area. And maybe investigate the Spanish that tried to in slave them. Because it sure seems like that's when the supernatural events started there. This world is a mysterious place. That is law'ed by nature beautiful and very brutal.

Well from certain videos I have personally seen & from researchers smarter then I say that they do seem to have this uncanny/unnatural ability to almost cancel their frame behind some tree 3x thinner then themselves. I really believe This amongst many other theories lead researchers to the theory that the big foot could be a Interdimensional being. Hope that helps

I think the point of the show is yes to bring out new info but to also help people who aren't as versed as you and others to help them in on this crazy world we live in. Just saying they are never negative and always trying to help peeps understand so I honestly dunno the need for the negativity but to each their own friend.

Just out of curiosity, why can't you whistle at night? Is it a superstition thing or is there a real practical reason? I don't believe in spirits or evil creatures, so that sounds like nonsense to me.

Hey there , I got a chupacapra story for you. Father in law used to own a ranch with cows and bulls. Sometimes the babies would go missing. The bodies were found days later completely drained of All blood. The strange thing , no wounds like teeth or cuts, just strange holes like vampire teeth

Your going to bring the stuff that parents tell their kids scary stories about to make them listen lol best way to put it or something entirely different. Different cultures have different meanings for it but ultimately your going to bring skinwalkers, ghost, dogmen, & some natives believe in this witch type thing that if you whistle at night in the forest it can take the shape of an owl 🦉 and find you if I remember correctly. I don't on the other hand remember the name but hope that helps friend.

It is said that Bigfoot knock tress, whistle, mimic birds and even human speech. So if you whistle in the night, you may attract these creatures.
