I've enjoyed your content for years. Thank you for your efforts and "realness". Everyone knows the game is no longer the main focus of Funcom and it shows. Conan Exiles will always be my entry into content creation, but since I play many video games because I play what I want to for me. For a challenge O Jaded Exile, play my Barbaric Nomadic Permadeath styled playthrough. Pull the bracelet without crafting, only hand crafted stuff allowed. Get/buy thralls but if they (or you die) it's game over (easier now with DBNO). It makes the stagnant game loop that more intense and frankly put that fire back in me. I'd love to see you try it! If you think that is too easy, add no torches or under 2hour full bracelet pull speedrun options.
its great to see your channel doing so well lately! we need ,more pvp cc! i dont often have the spirit in me for full playthroughs anymore, but i do still like watching yall!! make a few pvp related guides, like how you prep for a raid etc and double your subs! people are super thirsty for it!

I will leave the guide making to the pros like yourself!! :) Honestly, I just feel like I am not that good at either the game or editing to be putting informational guides out. I really connected with your video, because after 6 years of playing Conan, I am at odds with what I do next. One of the most aggravating things in this game is coming home with a bunch of loot in my pockets and spending almost half an hour putting them in the right workbenches and resource boxes. I'd really appreciate it if you could make a flow-chart of some sort on how to go from Journey steps. I often have to pause and go to another journey if I'm not high enough level to gain some knowledge step. I'm hoping there's a way to make it go more fluently. Last of all, I don't know if you've ever played the survival sandbox game Starsand, but I find it intriguing. I'd like to see a video of your thoughts and experiences with it.
you are in fact one of the comments i was talking about! they did make the system more janky than it was but hopefully the guides im putting together on journey steps but also what to do in was of dungeon order etc, will be helpful in some way! i have heard of starsand, but havent played it. i shall hav e to check it out some more! thanks for the suggestion

yup! had to destroy my save. i was getting around it by playing the gamepass version, but they took that away. and as iv bought this game and all its dlcs on ps4 and pc. i wasnt doing it again! my back up save also wont work. so rip all my builds

I really appreciate your honesty. Conan Exiles is a fun sandbox that feels like it's held together by string and duct tape. Funcom has definitely checked out and they are doing the bare minimum at this point. IMO it was a giant red flag when Funcom got rid of the battle pass. To me that means that the Titanic has hit the iceberg.
I love Conan exiles it is my favorite survival game of all time The building in it is unbelievable PVE conflict genius mode I've always wanted to just PVP but not have my base destroyed because of having a life and working every time I get on which I've tried multiple times in the last year it just seems like the servers are dead sucks
I can't find a good guide on the Siptah vault armors and what the perks are for each armor or what's good besides the Aspect of the Wolf helm. Keep doing Conan stuff, you don't sugarcoat or shill for Funcom and I respect that a lot. 7DTD or Valheim or even Fallout 4 modded or Palworld all games I like and play, all with survival mechanics.
.. yes, i have been meaning to do up some guides for you and a few other siptah player's for some time.. i will do them! i had done a bunch right before they did a big change, and never refilmed most of them.. but they are coming. hopefully before the world ends. thanks so much for alll your support over the years

3k hours in the game for me and one thing I've learned is that Funcom gonna funcom. Only defense is to take breaks periodically when the bugs and various b.s. gets to you. Really enjoy and appreciate your content!
Try Ark (personally I would recommend ASE the older version until the new one is polished), DayZ if you want a very difficult survival/ pvp game, or ye old classics Elder Scrolls/Fallout. Love the videos!
i used to play pvp ark back in the day in early access. Legacy life and all that. i could never go back to never being able to sleep or loosing my everything. but i could mess around with breeding and exploring again. Dayz is also one of my favourite games. but i do find it more fun with a crew of bandits, camping in the woods and trying not to get sniped i n the head on the way to the air fields. i need to be more like runningmanZ and make my own adventures. i recently been playing a bit of VEIN. its like dayz but more like armor with the extra effort to realism thing. but its only a 2 man gcrew who puts it together. but worth trying the free demo if you like that type of stuff. also recenly started playing skyrim for the first time. going to be doing more of that on stream 😀
I enjoy your content. I also have ridiculous hours in this game and have watched it evolve. My problem with PvP has/had less to do with Funcom and more to do with the toxic community. I know some people subscribe to the concept of "if you're not cheating you're not trying" but I don't so using exploits and making skybases or undermesh bases is just cheesy and ruins the fun. I seem to always figure out what Funcom is trying to do with each update. I don't see why they keep messing with some basic core things other than trying to find that elusive "balance" but I suppose the fact that they are still working on a 7 year old game says something. Not sure what but something. I'd love to find another survival game that grabs my interest but I hate the fact that nothing new even looks as good as Conan. Which also says something about the gaming producers I suppose. Either way, I'm shocked that you haven't been invited or featured by Funcom. Maybe you haven't met a 10K threshhold or something? Anyway, I'm just rambling but will be interested to see what else you produce, be it Conan or other content.
i would have thought that about the 10k thing, but they feature people with super low sub counts who barely make content and call them creators of the year. so idk man. but i dont need their support. all i need is yalls! ❤ tbh the toxic community is nothing compared to ark, but its still sucky that folks have to be soooo gross. like cant you just be a little gross? and when they think theyre the best but they just cheating and exploiting, pisses me off too hahah. i recently watched a guys video talking about getting inside'd on a dead server. wtf!!!!! it is such a beautiful came but they need to stop fiddling and just fix broken code (and maybe add the upper part of the map in) at this point. like you said, she old now and its crazy they do do anything to it. but also i feel like they just took a long time to do the things that needed doing from the start. it almost feels like its just now been taken off early access.
I only recently started following your channel about a year ago, when I came back to the game after a long absence. I want to thank you and say I found your guides invaluable for getting my feet back on the ground! In particular, I loved your videos on finding base locations! Please do keep up on Conan, and I will try and support if you branch into other games that I might play as well. As a person who loves base building, have you ever consider Fallout 76? Theirs is probably my next favorite build system and I like the environs and biomes.

Around 6 or 7 weeks ago I decided to take a break from Conan. I still wanted to play a bit of survival gaming though so I started up Valheim (a game I must have bought around a year ago) to see what it is like. I was hooked in my first hour and, 480 hours later, I am still just as obsessed. The graphics certainly aren't Unreal 4/5 beautiful but OMG the gameplay, the grind, the physics, the fights ALL put Conan to shame! And to top it all off: every world is procedurally generated. All gear has to be crafted. The bosses don't drop keys or gear: they drop items that allow you to progress to the next 'age' (yup, you start in the stone age.) For me this is what a survival game should be.
funcom is a joke they banned people off forums for constructive critisism while game was still in early access and proceeded to run their own game into the fuckin ground
I no exactly how you feel i cane back recently woke up to find my rare thralls no where to be seen, even show up on .ap when tracked but invisible so I've decided to play something else till these game breaking bugs get d Fixed
I do enjoy your Conan Exiles content but I couldn't blame you if you moved to different games. I'm trying real hard to love the game but fixes just aren't happening. Gamers should be focused on new content for Conan Exiles but instead we're stuck in this spiral of new and old bugs that constantly plague the game.
Played for a while my main gripe is that they restrict sorcery power to your character while someone can blow up your base while your afk so rarely play.
No game can hold your interest forever. It'll probably be fun to come back to from time to time but there's also a lot of new survival games out there like Soul Mask! lol
hahah well, i do take big breaks, well at least i used to before making youtubes. but yeah, like you said, loads of new stuff, like soulmask (with devs who seem to care atm) but i will be making some conan guides still as unfortunely, they do get views and theres lots to cover. but i wont be focusing on mainly conan exiles anymore and may even take a big break from exiled lands for a while after my next lot of vids are uploaded and do more siptah and modded stuff

i always thought it should have been you guesting on the Neeb's channel with their recent Conan playthrough, i think you'd have made a far better fit with their humor than Wak did, he was just a bit too dry in humor, and from all the other Conan content creators was you at top of my list maybe Angaar second, and that would have given your channel a huge boost. oh well though that was in the past and looking forward to see what you come up with in the future. some real life survival craft sounds interesting, though i could probably teach you a few things. i still watch some from time to time, it would be interesting to hear from a gamer perspective, there should be 1 out there at least a bit more true to life that while you play could actually teach some real life survival skills.
Funcom does not care about Conan exiles or the people that play it. They have proven that many, many times. Their attention is not important. Dont feel bad about it.
Hopefully the devs will actually fix some of the bugs, it's what makes me have to take breaks from the game. If you're looking for another survival game, I've heard good thing about Lord of the Rings Return to Moria.
unfortunelty, a lot of these bugs aren't new and the ones they recently made.. well i feel they could have been avoided. so i dont hold much hope in them "fixing" it. but we can try to enjoy what is kind of left of the game for now i guess
I would like to see you collaborate with other content creators - there are a lot of other content creators that could use your experience. Time zone might be a problem, and (of course) you would have to turn your webcam upside-down.
Just haven't been able to get back in since the disappearing thralls issue. Haven't had the will to do it. Also a lot of mods being outdated and unsupported at this point doesn't help.
Quit Conan back in September.. 1. Don't like PvE - compulsory niceness doesn't work for me. 2. PvP... the only people who raided my bases where Hackers - who knew exactly where everything I had was, and could "raid" outside of raidtime etc etc etc.
so very relatable! i really only play to make guides. i tried to jump on and just have fun. i didnt, so i stopped that haha. back to booping around on single player for 30mins at a time and not loading the game again for a week.
haha maybe. id have to find a non dead server and it wouldnt be official as hackers just kill that too much. we shall see. maybe ill do one last run and maybe do the no harvesting challenge at the same time
Saying bluntly Dune will suck. this game has always been about the lore, not only finding it but makin glore as well. like a book of ficitional dribble we make ourselves.
If your looking for a Great Community to participate with i suggest 3 games , Ark , Fallout 76 , and Warframe ! The people that i've met in these gaming communities are Awesome ! You find a few bad apples , but that's everywhere ! But for the most part these are the Best !!!
ark pvp is gross but i did play it far to much back in legacy days. pve is cool tho and i could maybe get back in to breeding and stuff. fallout 76, i did once get recognized at white springs, someone just yelled 'conan exiles' the tp'ed away lol. but im very full of junk atm and probably need to get fallout= again but unless im playing alot, its hard to justify the price. thanks for the suggestions!!
I love the game! But it is getting stale. The Bazaar is not nearly as exciting as the old DLCs. And the Age of "X" is not coming fast enough and some of the chapters are lack luster. There are so many great mods out there for the FUNCOM Devs to incorporate into the game that are QOL. Yes, they have made QOL improvements based on modders but there are so much more (i.e. customizing thrall physical appearances). Siptah has been out for several years, it is time the map is made available to all players (minus the Siptah building pieces). I've been playing Siptah for a long time. It is a good map that has not gotten the "love" from the devs bc of the low pop. Anyway...that's my rant. Back to playing Conan Exiles.
there really are so many good mods and it always confuses me too that they dont take more advantage of that... smh. Siptah did have loads of potential, and like you said, making it available all round and maybe giving people who bought it some of their precious crom coins as comp. but we all sadly know this is not likely to happen. ill still try to make some siptah guides for yall as well!
Thanks I have been wanting you for years. I have also sadly left Conan. I loved the age of sorcery but the things since then have been far inferior and PvP is just far too full of cheaters. It takes so long to build things up and cheaters can wipe it out in minutes.
I'm sorry to hear that you left, but I feel you. It's definitely hard to enjoy the game when you feel like you're constantly fighting against cheaters.
yeah ive been playing since EA on xbox, Funcom is completely out of touch with what the players actually want in game. The Tencent buyout was the beginning of the end for the game.
why funcom doesnt pay attention to you? frankly its just channel size. I've been seeing your vids a bit recently (not a subscriber) popping up in my feed and you do alright. funcom is just sorta... ehhhh greasy corpo on stuff. they only wanna deal with you when youre closer to 25k+ subs and *friendly* to their brand. cheers to you stickin it out as long as you have though. its refreshing to hear other greybeards in the community who call the game out on its flaws instead of just heaping empty praise. theres a lot needing fixing and just... bleh, feels bad. wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.
id love to say its the sub count thing, but they often shout out cc that have 1/10 my subs and barely make any content on the game or havent streamed it in so long, its not in there recently played list. its because i say stuff that hurts theyre feelings and i get thats not brand friendly, which is why i dont really care, if they dont wont constructive criticism, what can ya do. its more of a joke because all CC who play pvp never get shown love! even people like @smskcntr who have 25k subs and beeeeen making content on this game for years. just conan pvp yt things 💁. thanks for the best wishes! and right back at ya
@@illibetgaming I suppose you have some points in that-- though maybe the exceptions there are linked by relation or friendship with devs? but yea, idk, I've never been much of a pvp player for conan in all my... (oh god) 4k~ish hours in game. in general being from a FGC background, the netcode in conan always made my teeth itch, knowing I can get buttfucked by a likely glitch or lagspike for an interaction in combat, and knowing that most of the combat ends up boiling to repetitive dive tactics, really ended up making that scene repellant to me. like no shade for those who found the fun-- thats totally the GOAL, but yea. (that and holy fck optimum building in this game for pvp looks like straight ass cancer) you would think with the age of war stuff before, theyd have been lavishing y'all pvp CCs. for a long while it seemed to us on the PvE side of the fence, that all the updates and considerations were in service to y'all on the PvP side. events maintain shallow, quick-to-do structures, incentivizing low commitment from players and minimal asset investment from the dev team for maximal impact with PvP focused players. theyre chasing trying to turn exiles into the next RUST. its weird... whenever a new survival game comes out and is doing well, exiles ends up aping some function or another of it to try and keep relevance without ever actually addressing any of the underlaying issues or understanding its playerbase. when they redid construction, it was cause valheim was hot for instance. like great, age of heroes is FINALLY adding story content for fucking once, but goddamn if its not as threadbare as anything else. dungeons are still the same stapled together 5 rooms assembled from pipe cleaners and bottlecaps that they made 10 years prior. lore is still vaporware by extension. *the map is still full of absolute jank and the north is completely unfinished on the the exiled lands map, while siptah is abandonware at this point* I spent a few months solo developing using nothing but PIPI to populate the map with new dungeons, encounters, NPC's and etc and I was able to make the game feel halfway better, which is sad when my tech illiterate ass can pull this off when they have a team measuring in the double digits whos JOBS it is to work on this. ugh... I guess long way of saying I feel your pain. the devs dont listen to critique or players begging them to fix shit, on either side of the pvp/pve divide.
facts tho! But it wouldnt be fully ungame related stuff i share here (ill also make another channel for just irl and reacts etc) itll be stuff like how i made my cosplay armor, cosplay red sonya (and others) and how to make cool shit on a budget, stuff like that. it may not get many fews but itll hopefully keep me sane!
Can you make a video trying to get people to understand how important the stamina punishment system was!?!? When they removed THAT was the official death of official PVP
ah yes i did try that once. but they wont listen unfortunately! Most pvpers knew that it would kill our part of the game. but more people play pve. i also dont like it in pve.. but yeah i do make jabs at the silliness of how quick it is all the time in videos

yup! had to destroy my save. i was getting around it by playing the gamepass version, but they took that away. and as iv bought this game and all its dlcs on ps4 and pc. i wasnt doing it again! my back up save also wont work. so rip all my builds
Check out Enshrouded if you haven't for a more modern survival game. It's still in early access but plans to launch this year.

I really appreciate your honesty. Conan Exiles is a fun sandbox that feels like it's held together by string and duct tape. Funcom has definitely checked out and they are doing the bare minimum at this point. IMO it was a giant red flag when Funcom got rid of the battle pass. To me that means that the Titanic has hit the iceberg.

I love Conan exiles it is my favorite survival game of all time The building in it is unbelievable PVE conflict genius mode I've always wanted to just PVP but not have my base destroyed because of having a life and working every time I get on which I've tried multiple times in the last year it just seems like the servers are dead sucks

I can't find a good guide on the Siptah vault armors and what the perks are for each armor or what's good besides the Aspect of the Wolf helm. Keep doing Conan stuff, you don't sugarcoat or shill for Funcom and I respect that a lot. 7DTD or Valheim or even Fallout 4 modded or Palworld all games I like and play, all with survival mechanics.
.. yes, i have been meaning to do up some guides for you and a few other siptah player's for some time.. i will do them! i had done a bunch right before they did a big change, and never refilmed most of them.. but they are coming. hopefully before the world ends.

3k hours in the game for me and one thing I've learned is that Funcom gonna funcom. Only defense is to take breaks periodically when the bugs and various b.s. gets to you. Really enjoy and appreciate your content!

Try Ark (personally I would recommend ASE the older version until the new one is polished), DayZ if you want a very difficult survival/ pvp game, or ye old classics Elder Scrolls/Fallout.

i used to play pvp ark back in the day in early access. Legacy life and all that. i could never go back to never being able to sleep or loosing my everything. but i could mess around with breeding and exploring again. Dayz is also one of my favourite games. but i do find it more fun with a crew of bandits, camping in the woods and trying not to get sniped i n the head on the way to the air fields. i need to be more like runningmanZ and make my own adventures. i recently been playing a bit of VEIN. its like dayz but more like armor with the extra effort to realism thing. but its only a 2 man gcrew who puts it together. but worth trying the free demo if you like that type of stuff.
also recenly started playing skyrim for the first time. going to be doing more of that on stream 😀

I enjoy your content. I also have ridiculous hours in this game and have watched it evolve. My problem with PvP has/had less to do with Funcom and more to do with the toxic community. I know some people subscribe to the concept of "if you're not cheating you're not trying" but I don't so using exploits and making skybases or undermesh bases is just cheesy and ruins the fun. I seem to always figure out what Funcom is trying to do with each update. I don't see why they keep messing with some basic core things other than trying to find that elusive "balance" but I suppose the fact that they are still working on a 7 year old game says something. Not sure what but something. I'd love to find another survival game that grabs my interest but I hate the fact that nothing new even looks as good as Conan. Which also says something about the gaming producers I suppose. Either way, I'm shocked that you haven't been invited or featured by Funcom. Maybe you haven't met a 10K threshhold or something? Anyway, I'm just rambling but will be interested to see what else you produce, be it Conan or other content.

it is such a beautiful came but they need to stop fiddling and just fix broken code (and maybe add the upper part of the map in) at this point. like you said, she old now and its crazy they do do anything to it. but also i feel like they just took a long time to do the things that needed doing from the start. it almost feels like its just now been taken off early access.

I only recently started following your channel about a year ago, when I came back to the game after a long absence. I want to thank you and say I found your guides invaluable for getting my feet back on the ground! In particular, I loved your videos on finding base locations! Please do keep up on Conan, and I will try and support if you branch into other games that I might play as well. As a person who loves base building, have you ever consider Fallout 76? Theirs is probably my next favorite build system and I like the environs and biomes.

Around 6 or 7 weeks ago I decided to take a break from Conan. I still wanted to play a bit of survival gaming though so I started up Valheim (a game I must have bought around a year ago) to see what it is like. I was hooked in my first hour and, 480 hours later, I am still just as obsessed. The graphics certainly aren't Unreal 4/5 beautiful but OMG the gameplay, the grind, the physics, the fights ALL put Conan to shame! And to top it all off: every world is procedurally generated. All gear has to be crafted. The bosses don't drop keys or gear: they drop items that allow you to progress to the next 'age' (yup, you start in the stone age.) For me this is what a survival game should be.
funcom is a joke they banned people off forums for constructive critisism while game was still in early access and proceeded to run their own game into the fuckin ground

I do enjoy your Conan Exiles content but I couldn't blame you if you moved to different games.
I'm trying real hard to love the game but fixes just aren't happening. Gamers should be focused on new content for Conan Exiles but instead we're stuck in this spiral of new and old bugs that constantly plague the game.
Played for a while my main gripe is that they restrict sorcery power to your character while someone can blow up your base while your afk so rarely play.
No game can hold your interest forever. It'll probably be fun to come back to from time to time but there's also a lot of new survival games out there like Soul Mask! lol

but i will be making some conan guides still as unfortunely, they do get views and theres lots to cover. but i wont be focusing on mainly conan exiles anymore and may even take a big break from exiled lands for a while after my next lot of vids are uploaded and do more siptah and modded stuff

i always thought it should have been you guesting on the Neeb's channel with their recent Conan playthrough, i think you'd have made a far better fit with their humor than Wak did, he was just a bit too dry in humor, and from all the other Conan content creators was you at top of my list maybe Angaar second, and that would have given your channel a huge boost. oh well though that was in the past and looking forward to see what you come up with in the future. some real life survival craft sounds interesting, though i could probably teach you a few things. i still watch some from time to time, it would be interesting to hear from a gamer perspective, there should be 1 out there at least a bit more true to life that while you play could actually teach some real life survival skills.
Funcom does not care about Conan exiles or the people that play it. They have proven that many, many times. Their attention is not important. Dont feel bad about it.
Hopefully the devs will actually fix some of the bugs, it's what makes me have to take breaks from the game. If you're looking for another survival game, I've heard good thing about Lord of the Rings Return to Moria.
unfortunelty, a lot of these bugs aren't new and the ones they recently made.. well i feel they could have been avoided. so i dont hold much hope in them "fixing" it. but we can try to enjoy what is kind of left of the game for now i guess
I would like to see you collaborate with other content creators - there are a lot of other content creators that could use your experience. Time zone might be a problem, and (of course) you would have to turn your webcam upside-down.
Just haven't been able to get back in since the disappearing thralls issue. Haven't had the will to do it.
Also a lot of mods being outdated and unsupported at this point doesn't help.

1. Don't like PvE - compulsory niceness doesn't work for me.
2. PvP... the only people who raided my bases where Hackers - who knew exactly where everything I had was, and could "raid" outside of raidtime etc etc etc.
so very relatable! i really only play to make guides. i tried to jump on and just have fun. i didnt, so i stopped that haha. back to booping around on single player for 30mins at a time and not loading the game again for a week.

Saying bluntly Dune will suck. this game has always been about the lore, not only finding it but makin glore as well. like a book of ficitional dribble we make ourselves.

ark pvp is gross but i did play it far to much back in legacy days. pve is cool tho and i could maybe get back in to breeding and stuff. fallout 76, i did once get recognized at white springs, someone just yelled 'conan exiles' the tp'ed away lol. but im very full of junk atm and probably need to get fallout= again but unless im playing alot, its hard to justify the price. thanks for the suggestions!!
I love the game! But it is getting stale. The Bazaar is not nearly as exciting as the old DLCs. And the Age of "X" is not coming fast enough and some of the chapters are lack luster. There are so many great mods out there for the FUNCOM Devs to incorporate into the game that are QOL. Yes, they have made QOL improvements based on modders but there are so much more (i.e. customizing thrall physical appearances). Siptah has been out for several years, it is time the map is made available to all players (minus the Siptah building pieces). I've been playing Siptah for a long time. It is a good map that has not gotten the "love" from the devs bc of the low pop. Anyway...that's my rant. Back to playing Conan Exiles.
there really are so many good mods and it always confuses me too that they dont take more advantage of that... smh. Siptah did have loads of potential, and like you said, making it available all round and maybe giving people who bought it some of their precious crom coins as comp. but we all sadly know this is not likely to happen.

Thanks I have been wanting you for years. I have also sadly left Conan. I loved the age of sorcery but the things since then have been far inferior and PvP is just far too full of cheaters. It takes so long to build things up and cheaters can wipe it out in minutes.
I'm sorry to hear that you left, but I feel you. It's definitely hard to enjoy the game when you feel like you're constantly fighting against cheaters.

yeah ive been playing since EA on xbox, Funcom is completely out of touch with what the players actually want in game. The Tencent buyout was the beginning of the end for the game.
why funcom doesnt pay attention to you? frankly its just channel size. I've been seeing your vids a bit recently (not a subscriber) popping up in my feed and you do alright. funcom is just sorta... ehhhh greasy corpo on stuff. they only wanna deal with you when youre closer to 25k+ subs and *friendly* to their brand.
cheers to you stickin it out as long as you have though. its refreshing to hear other greybeards in the community who call the game out on its flaws instead of just heaping empty praise. theres a lot needing fixing and just... bleh, feels bad.

id love to say its the sub count thing, but they often shout out cc that have 1/10 my subs and barely make any content on the game or havent streamed it in so long, its not in there recently played list. its because i say stuff that hurts theyre feelings and i get thats not brand friendly, which is why i dont really care, if they dont wont constructive criticism, what can ya do. its more of a joke because all CC who play pvp never get shown love! even people like @smskcntr who have 25k subs and beeeeen making content on this game for years. just conan pvp yt things 💁.

but yea, idk, I've never been much of a pvp player for conan in all my... (oh god) 4k~ish hours in game. in general being from a FGC background, the netcode in conan always made my teeth itch, knowing I can get buttfucked by a likely glitch or lagspike for an interaction in combat, and knowing that most of the combat ends up boiling to repetitive dive tactics, really ended up making that scene repellant to me. like no shade for those who found the fun-- thats totally the GOAL, but yea. (that and holy fck optimum building in this game for pvp looks like straight ass cancer)
you would think with the age of war stuff before, theyd have been lavishing y'all pvp CCs. for a long while it seemed to us on the PvE side of the fence, that all the updates and considerations were in service to y'all on the PvP side. events maintain shallow, quick-to-do structures, incentivizing low commitment from players and minimal asset investment from the dev team for maximal impact with PvP focused players. theyre chasing trying to turn exiles into the next RUST.
its weird... whenever a new survival game comes out and is doing well, exiles ends up aping some function or another of it to try and keep relevance without ever actually addressing any of the underlaying issues or understanding its playerbase. when they redid construction, it was cause valheim was hot for instance.
like great, age of heroes is FINALLY adding story content for fucking once, but goddamn if its not as threadbare as anything else. dungeons are still the same stapled together 5 rooms assembled from pipe cleaners and bottlecaps that they made 10 years prior. lore is still vaporware by extension. *the map is still full of absolute jank and the north is completely unfinished on the the exiled lands map, while siptah is abandonware at this point*
I spent a few months solo developing using nothing but PIPI to populate the map with new dungeons, encounters, NPC's and etc and I was able to make the game feel halfway better, which is sad when my tech illiterate ass can pull this off when they have a team measuring in the double digits whos JOBS it is to work on this.

But it wouldnt be fully ungame related stuff i share here (ill also make another channel for just irl and reacts etc) itll be stuff like how i made my cosplay armor, cosplay red sonya (and others) and how to make cool shit on a budget, stuff like that. it may not get many fews but itll hopefully keep me sane!
