i was about to say the same thing. its actually not that bad, but the pedal being held on parts that don't need to have pedal, makes it sound ..no offense but sloppy? learning where and when to use the pedal takes time.
Very nice, but I think there's too much sustain pedalling going on; the notes very often muddled together. Had you held back on the pedalling.a bit, this would have been an excellent rendition.

I'm not exactly good, but I've taken formal piano lesson for years so I'm more comfortable learning by reading music sheet. I think this piece is not too hard to learn. Especially because the rhythm on left hand is pretty much the same trough out the song. If you find it hard to keep up with sheet, maybe it is easier to learn with the synthesia instead? You learn and memorize the piece in one go.
