I'm surprised that people are surprised that you can make butter with one ingredient. That's essentially what butter is and how it was made for millennia.

Is it just me or does anyone else find Raphael's voice soothing? Since my Father passed I've had the toughest time sleeping & I found that if I play Raphael's video I can sleep. There is something so comforting about his voice. If my husband turns of the TV or tries to change to another video, I'm instantly awakened.

I'm learning Greek on Duolingo and noticed that they get me translate food combinations that I have never heard of (for example "I eat pork with cherries and olive oil")... I'm sure this happens with other languages on the app too. It would be so cool if Raphael did a video trying duolingo food combinations!!

@@SprWnieHutJr Except to get hard cheese you need rennet. Although vegetarian versions exist, most cheese manufacturers just use the kind that comes from the lining of calf stomachs.

For the majdoul dates caramel, it’s better to soak the dates in hot water first then drain and blend in food processor. You may also use the remaining water to make the caramel softer and more liquid. :)

If you want to make dulce de leche. Boil a tin of condensend milk (with sugar). Remove the paper wrap . Ensure that you have a tin which is completely closed . Boil water, ensure that the tin is covered with water and boil for 3 hours. After that cool it down for hourd before opening the tin with a tin opener (you also can find the instructions if you google
Always be careful doing this though, I’ve heard many stories of it exploding in the pan !

@@gem6068 me too but if I remember correctly "How To Cook That" said that you should continuously check the pot to ensure that the can is completely covered in the water. I could've remembered incorrectly but whoever tries this recipe should be VERY careful.
This is not really how dulce de leche is made. It is milk, sugar and baking soda. You put it in a pot and stir constantly until you get the consistency and colour you want. Besitos

I made butter in grade school as a kid. We had cream in empty baby food jars that we had to shake until it became butter. Also, on honey... did you know sugar gets processed in your body to turn into alcohol? Several years ago, I got really sick. Couldn't eat very well. Except honey. I had so much honey that I ended up in the the hospital, with pancreatitis.... which is common in alcoholics. The hospital didn't believe that I didn't drink alcohol until they discovered the honey and explained that it changed into the raw sugar alcohol and was essentially... making me drunk. Insanity.

The chocolate and water dessert is apparently VERY finicky. Emmymade tried on her channel and it took her many many tries before it truly worked. Specific times for the chocolate melting, cooling on the ice, mixing, etc everything had to be really precise.

After I make a grilled cheese I always just toss an extra slice in the skillet and then roll it up when it's nice and crispy!
Something I like doing is mixing bananas with cereal. Like mashing the banana, then putting rice krispies or frosted flakes in it. Tastes pretty good. Idk, just needed something to comment.

In primary school we made butter by putting cream in a jar,and then taking turns to shake it through the morning. Then I accidentally knocked my group's butter on the floor. One of those moments you never forget! But on the plus side I never forgot how butter was made.

It was called ” Pavlova” you have to bake for a long time at like 275 Fahrenheit and leave in the oven while it cools down then it’s pretty great

I don't think you can call it "bread" as it doesn't contain any flour or ingredients required in "bread." This whipped egg white mixture is what people would normally call "meringue" in baking. You can find packaged ones in the bakery section. I think the egg white is more of a pocket used for filling, like a sandwich. Calling it "bread" is misleading.

Will definitely try the homemade butter recipe. Saw a video a few weeks ago about using equal parts whipping cream and self-rising flour to make biscuits...so might try to do both.
The butter one is a recipe that we use at my home, but we don't use whipping cream nor do we shape it like a log😅. Rapha was correct about the buttermilk part!!

For the chocolate recipe, i think what she tried to make was chocolate mousse. I would suggest using heavy cream instead of water, making a chocolate ganache first (by adding chopped chocolate to warm cream) letting it cool first and then using the hand mixer. That way you wouldn't even need the ice and it's a good, easy and quick dessert!
I'm kind of confused by the butter part since around here it's common knowledge that if you have warm whipping cream or you over work it... It becomes butter. Since that is a common mistake while baking a cake.
My mom is always telling me the story where her brother wanted to make cream and he overworked it all the time, like 4 times, so in the end he bought the cream at a bakery...

That butter one, in my native home, they make butter at home with milk. It’s a pretty lengthy process but yeah it’s real.
And talking about jaggery, it’s a very good natural sweeter, better than refined sugar.
And the white chocolate, i saw in a youtube video that there should be a specified amount of cocoa in white chocolate for it to be called as a chocolate.

I’d say there is nothing wrong with the pup having a small lick of butter. On another note about butter, Butter is suggested for cats that have hairball problems because it works to slick the throat better than the hairball control stuff that they sell for a bigger price.

Hi, u can use the egg Yolks on a shortbread cookie recipe so u won't waist it at all:
4 egg yolk
1cup of icing sugar
250 g of butter
Vanilla *or any flavor*
Half cup of cornstarch
Tea spoon of baking powder
Two cups of cookie flower

dates will normally have pits in them, they do sell them without the pits though you just have to double-check when you buy them.

It looks like the crust on the pizza you got from the market is par baked, which is probably why it started cracking like it did. Super effective for ease of regular pizza baking - not so effective for pizza - made -calzone baking

We use the date "hack" in Lebanon as a filling for maamoul b tamer and other sweets 😋
You can do this with Parmesan cheese in small piles on a baking sheet and as soon as you see the piles of parm have melted and bubbling and golden color remove from oven and using a thin spatula and cooled a bit dont let them cool on baking sheet or they stick use a silicone mat to bake them they will be crispy i serve them with a big Ceasars salad...yummy the longer they sit the lose their crunch so serve immediately so so so yummy.
Surprisingly that's how my mom makes butter at home and from that butter we make something called ghee which is a big part of pakistani cuisine
How cute to include Salem in your video. You should do that more often. I think the cloud bread might work if you bake the egg whites at a lower temperature for a long period of time to get the center completely baked. I think that is how they make Pavlova.

my mum used to give my dog bits of crackers when she was eating them (as a small snack bc he won't eat a lot of dog food or just to settle his stomach since he occasionally gets reflux) and she made the mistake of letting him try it with a tiny amount of flora and now he turns his nose up at plain crackers and will only eat them if it's buttered
edit: it's flora not butter, so it's more nutritious and less fat
My dog loves toast with loads of lurpack on I guess it's not very healthy for us either but we still eat it cant see it doing much harm to a dog poor Salem wanted more lol
one of cats will not eat cat treats and wont go near human food, except for butter. She gets a very tiny bit as a treat 1 or 2 times a week. Was told its just like with humans, small amounts are okay but large amounts are not.

I love frozen bananas! I always just cut them up into slices, freeze them on a plate, then eat. I've always said that the texture reminds me of ice cream, when biting into them. Maybe one day I'll make it like actual ice cream, like the video 👌🏼 Either way, delicious 😋
