I moved to Grenada in 2017 from Georgia in the US. I knew my ancestors came from Grenada but I didn't know much about it. I visited one time and then decided to move there because I love island life. I like the slow pace of everything. As a kid, I used to be very intrigued by my grandparents' accents, and now I hear it all the time.
Wow this comment really put things in perspective for me. My parents are Grenadian and I am first generation American. My husband is American as well and we live in Georgia. I often wonder if our future children will appreciate their grandparents heritage. I sometimes get sad because I grew up in Little Caribbean, Brooklyn and my kids will more than likely be far removed from the culture.
Wow. I dint know my father but always knew he was from Grenada but met my mom in the U.S. I did my DNA test and 2nd cousins cane up from Grenada. No one seems to know of him . How can I find out any more info. Dies Grenafa keep an archive?
Awwww. Beautiful Grenada... you and your daughter are also beautiful! I knew your spirit seemed familiar when you stood up and tried to encourage the new nurse in the ICU. My family is Grenadian so I understand the culture. We are proud people but also instill pride in other. Thank you for channel

Are the people of Grenada and other islands descendants of Africans from the same areas in Africa, or did people in different islands (Grenada, St. Lucia, Jamaica, etc. ) come from different areas? Do people in each island consider the other islands as the same nation or each one is different?
@@KendraRN Right, but for example did Jamaicans comr from the same place as Grenadians or St. Lucians? Do all people consider one another to be part of the same origin and nation in Africa?
Hi Kendra. How is the government of Grenada working to diversify the economy beyond the tourist industry? Or is there no other possibility so that anyone seeking employment or business has to be involved somehow in tourism??

I don't never heard about Grenada as a tourist island so I'm wondering, is they're hotels for bookings?
Yes, it’s a hidden gem, we’re not a huge tourist destination. There are hotels, guest houses and air bnbs! The island is pretty safe also. ❤️
