- You wouldn’t believe the amount of people out there claiming to be the creator of the purple hair wreath that has gone viral, but rest assured it is I!! The purple hair wreath I made and posted on September 2nd was shared all over Facebook (see 0:06 and notice the date stamp!). I knew nothing about watermarking at that time. My biggest mistake. Since then there have been many wonderful variations made from other crafters. We should all be so proud!
I can finally credit the source of my inspiration because I finally found her! I saw a shower curtain on Google and thought it would make an amazing wreath. I had to find the artist. Thanks to this video, someone commented on who the artist of the shower curtain was. Clarissa Todd!

Claudette Stewart I agree with you. I’ve been asked to make these for a few women in my community. Different races. I’m gonna add my own artistic flare and make sure the faces have a more solid tone to them. A couple of coats on the face would define it beautifully. Absolutely love the concept.

Beautiful wreath. I had never heard or seen any of these types of wreaths until a video showed up in my recommendations feed yesterday. So I started to watch more videos. I do make a seasonal wreath just for my front door using the grapevine. But I have decided that I will attempt to make one and place on it my front door during this coming Black History Month. It might be easier to fold the scarf with opposite ends folded in a triangle. This is such a beautiful design. I really want to try this
Hi Sevalye, appreciate the feedback! I have tried it that way but for some reason I didn't like how it looked. It leaves a pointed end at the bottom that I would have to add even more zip ties to lay tight against the frame. Personal preference I guess. 🤷🏾♀️ I'm a glutton for punishment. @@sharonrobinson3920 yes I am. I'm really getting exhausted with defending myself regarding this matter. On September 2nd 2019, I posted a picture of my purple hair wreath on various fb groups. I didn't know anything about watermarking it first. The pic went viral and now people are using my picture and making claims to be the creator. If people had any sense and followed my page they would see I take pictures of all my wreaths on the same door using the same red door hanger as the purple one. But whatever, i know the truth as do many people out there. Thanks for watching!

Hello Sharon! It depends on the size of the scarf and width of your wreath. I use 35"x35" scarves because my wreaths are really full at the bottom as well. I don't like the way it lays when I fold it into a triangle first. But that is my preference. It is very possible to start with a triangle fold. Thanks for watching! ❤

I love this, every white lady out there making wreaths is gonna try to make this for their one black friend they got. Lol. I made the original pennywise wreath and missed capitalizing on it.
