You turned me on to this amp watching your videos, and helped me learn and take the fear away of owning a Kenwood TL-922A box which takes a beating everyday. Mad respect brother, from Miami.

Man I love these all band Ham amplifiers. I am ready to get my ham technician license but not sure if I need it or not. Some say many of the bands are dead today and besides I'd rather work on radios than talk on them.
Back when you had to climb a pole to use the phone Ham radio was a bit more useful.
In 1952 my dad caught a train at 17 years old, left his home in Crossville Tennessee, went to Dayton Ohio seeking work at Dayton Railway in the mail department.
Two of his local farmer neighbors were WW2 Vetreran Ham radio operators. Bud Cherell lived back home in Crossville while Armonel Cherell lived in Dayton Ohio where my dad was working.
Before Christmas next year dad sought out Armonel Cherrel to send a message 330 miles back home to his family through Bud Cherell that he would be home for Christmas. They didn't have a land line telephone back home.
Interestingly the Ham operator told dad he would wait until dark to send the message, somehow it had a better chance of getting out the 330 miles. Perhaps less busy or better solar activity but they were successful whatever the cause.
Another youtuber named burt2481 told me it was likely either the 40 or 75 Meter band being used to make the contact in that day and age.

Hello where could I find a nice multi band 300 watt solid state amplifier? I like being able to turn my iCOM's power down. So I can run it into my Texas Star 350 on medium power into my Ameritron AL82 on 10 meters on SSB. Having the Texas Star 350 makes a big difference the way it makes my audio come across. With just my iCOM at 100 watts into the AL82 only amplifies my audio to about 300 watts. I keep my ALC at the proper level. But with the TS350 on low or medium with 35% of drive does far better. I can bust through a pile up with ease with great audio reports. But I need a amp to cover the rest of the bands. Any ideas? Thanks de KK4YLF 73's
