I remember a funny interaction involving a couple of youtubers who were reviewing the beta (Globku and Bilbzy), and came to opposite conclusions about if Saitama was balanced or not. Bilbzy said that Globku was the only Saitama player to beat him, assuming that’s just because Globku was the only one good enough to work around the time mechanic properly. Then like one or two days later Globku released his video where he said that to test Saitama, he deliberately played as badly as possible against all his opponents, including Bilbzy, and still won all his games with Saitama.
I do. I even gave it a positive review, although only because Steam basically only accepts positive or negative, with no room for nuance. I'd give it a 55%. If you're a fan of the series, and have a disposable income, sure why not. You'll get a few hours of entertainment out of it, and if you consider what an hour's worth of entertainment costs anywhere else, 60 bucks is reasonable. But if you're not a fan and don't have a disposable income, give it a pass. It either has nothing you want to see, or nothing worth your money.
The idea behind Saitama being just broken but taking time to arrive is such a fun gimmick... but unless it was executed right and in an already solid game it was destined to fail.

More like too many anime 3d arena fighters and we got an anime jrpg recently, one piece odyssey but I do wish we had more similar to the anime game scene in the 2000s
I think beat'em up genre mixed with both hack-n-slash normal attacks and arena fighter skills (which looks visually dope and feels more satisfying to fight as our selected anime character) fits this kind of next Shonen Jump game let alone cater both casual (immerse at its single-player experiences) and competitive (majority of them are PvP specially online) players. On cherry on top of the cake is we'll get better roster if it has both all protagonists and antagonists of every Shonen Jump IPs (excluding deuteragonists due to expensive total budget from licensing fees alone). One more thing, never ever bring back Character Creation feature on their future games since that alone is too expensive and time-consuming it cutout away any budget of most gameplays and basic features, and I learned it from both Jump Force and Street Fighter 6 as well as Soul Calibur 6.

@@SourRobo8364 I need to point a major idea for one punch man world. Similar to your idea (video games), world map and character progression. In GTA 4, the more missions you complete the more gimmicks and areas your are allowed to engage with expands (Map). In GTA 5, as you complete more quests specific to your character you unlock the next character, right? So for One Punch Man World, the more quests you complete specific to your character you can unlock stats, abilities, and unlock cool character interactions along with a unique story mode. Afterwards after a point, you can unlock the next character in the OPM universe. Quest completion overall adds a bigger map to explore while new gimmicks occur. While I think 2D fighting games are mostly far better than these arena fighter, I want an actually good 3D arena fighter. A. Good. One. Those Ultimate Ninja Storm games were decent. Visually nice, polished but they still felt simple for me. Lack of depth in term of gameplay, overly simplified in every area. Characters played very similar. And this issue is true about most of these arena fighter. Jump Force... geez, even the early gameplays were full of red flags, and it truly turned out to be a super simple arena fighter. With, in my opinion, ugly, inconsistent visuals. OPM game at least looks like a anime. I really want someone to make a proper 3D arena anime fighter where there is some complexity in gameplay mechanics. Not just smash the buttons an hope you win (exaggerating a bit of course). I would love to see one where there are lots of skills, characters play differently, there are character classes to play, 2 vs 2, 3 vs 3 where you can play as a support character and have some great teamwork possibilities (healing your team, cripple the enemy, summon barriers to protect yourself or your teammate, etc..., so tactical ways to play). Of course, OPM could work well as an open world RPG where you create a hero, do missions, climb up the ranks, occasionally fight along other heroes, meet Saitama, Genos and the others. There, maybe the Saitama being late idea could work well, staying alive while beating waves of monsters on your own or with some teammates until he arrives.
How do people play this game? I basically played all missions with my customized hero only. As long it's a beatable enemy i won long before saitama can even show up. This games story is about the customized hero you created so why tf would you want to play as saitama. But yeah game is pretty fun, it gets a bit repetitive but the game is short enough to make up for that, like i played the full game in one sitting it's really not that long. The only thing that's gets grindy and annoying is if you try to level up your hero to max level that can take a while.
There are a lot of problems with this game: 1. The genre not good for this anime, saitama is too strong so a 3d battle arena anime game is the last thing we want to see from OPM. The best genre for a OPM game is beat em up or just a action game because seeing saitama or the other heroes doing dynasty warriors type game it’s would be awesome. 2. Burn out from this genre. It’s already became a joke that’s almost all the current anime franchises have a battle arena anime games. Bandai released Jump Force a year before so why the f they release another one a year after? 3. Spike are not good developers. Yeah i know they did the tenkaichi games but they did almost all the anime battle arena that’s released in the last years and all of them sucks. Jump force flops and the new dragon ball sparking zero gonna flop hard!

The new mobile game looks way better and more fun
Crazy how this game is better than JJK
Im still not gonna sugarcoat my feelings on how this cash grab made it again to game awards best fg of 2020 nominee over
gundam exvs mbon
Honestly the game is fine. It's going to be better than the mobile game coming out soon at least
Not even the ost good is unfortunate
At least getting good new music would have been nice
I didn't get a refund and I'm regretful about it.
I actualy liked it, don't go for platinum tho, it's pain
Can we have anime fighting game that not arena like this this kinda turn me off and i was bored with it i want some kind of 3d side view like tekken or sf
idgaf what anyone says, the santana mechanic in this game was stupid as HELL. was it a clever way of keeping saitamas strength accurate to the series? maybe? but was it ever going to make for a fun experience? No. it’s fucking dumb
Welp at least I got a Platinum Trophy out of it🤣👍
It’s so annoying how 99% of anime games are fighter games. I wish there were more open world ones like Genshin impact and dragon ball z kakarot.
watch JJK being another one of these games
I actually kinda liked this game
Hi
For me it cast 100 dollars
One punch man world is actually good :D
No
I honestly saw no problem with this game and talking about repetitive fighting system ain’t that like went fighting game know to exist like tf
