Biden is not a compelling orator at this point, by any stretch of the imagination. But, I still think if he'd been able to express his thoughts as clearly in the debate as he did here, most of the outcry never happens.
The other thing that stood out to me in this is the self confidence, I honestly can't see him stepping down of his own volition after watching this. It might be time for the Democrats raising the alarm to realize that attacking their own horse isn't going to improve the odds, and that the energy could be much better spent elsewhere.

This is an important job and for nearly eight years we haven’t had a competent leader.. His staff can cover for him domestically but he’s also commander in chief and they can’t cover for him there. It is him that is expected to meet with foreign leaders.

Negotiated the Phase 1 trade agreement with China which provided the mechanism for to put tariffs on Chinese products that Biden is still using today. I think Biden did well. Yes, he made a couple of gaffes - I make those, and I'm half his age. The things that stuck out to me most were:
1) The depth and breadth of knowledge Biden displayed in relation to every single topic raised
2) The fact that Biden actually answered each question in detail, as opposed to Trump's standard answer of "I'm the best anyone has ever seen, and everybody loves me"
3) The fact that in addition to speaking on the things he knows about, Biden is willng to admit to what he *doesn't* know (whereas Trump just makes things up, whether it be stats/numbers or entire conversations), and
4) Biden's humor at the end, which felt like a mic drop moment to me. If people have issues with Biden misspeakng every once in awhile, all they need to do is listen to Trump, who is far worse in every way.
Hosting this press conference was a good idea. Biden should do it more often.

I think President did fine. Apart from calling Donald Trump his VP which was an honest mistake, he was very good, especially on the issues. Trump confused Nikki Haley with Nancy Pelosi. He also thought Obama was still President. The President is still able to govern, and he is extremely knowledgeable about complicated international issues. Trump would`t be able to answer one third of these questions The President answered here.

This press conference was a good one in my opinion Biden did good for a very old man and that's the thing he is very old of course that will affect him just like trump old age affect him. This was fine. People are going to focus in on him saying the wrong name like one or two times during an hour long press conference, in which he sounded very knowledgeable and coherent for the vast majority.
The media (including David) is so focused on these misspeaks or “glitches” that they often miss the forest from the trees. OMG Trump said Ronny Johnson not Jackson! OMG Biden said Putin not Zelenskyy!!!
I’m sorry but this stuff doesn’t matter. What does matter is the big picture of what they say, how they express their knowledge of foreign and domestic affairs, how they articulate their policy.
And on the big picture front, it’s not even close. Trump just spends hours lying about Biden Migrant Crime (TM), and Hannibal Lector. He obviously has no idea how to run a country.
Biden actually talks about international alliances and lays out a coherent domestic plan.

I just listened to a well known comedian, Brian Regan. One of his skits is "you too and stuff" Listen to him make fun of himself who misspeaks. Words come out wrong, sometimes more for some than others. People with a stutter know what they want to say, sometimes brain thinks faster than what comes out! Biden is our nominee.
