Great video, and thanks for including the socket sizes. I would add that you'll want a long breaker bar, or take the bar off of your floor jack and slide it over the end of your 1/2" ratchet. You're going to need a lot of leverage to keep that crank moving, and it can be pretty tight down there, especially if you have an aftermarket pipe, but even stock, there isn't much room. Once you have the zip ties tight and a long enough bar, it isn't too bad.
I subbed you for one main reason: you put the PARTS LINK in the description! That shows that you're a true mechanic and you've been in a position where you need to know actual part numbers versus just a video showing how to install something! I support that!
@@AutomotiveAuthority I bought belts yesterday and only needed to do the front one. The AC belt was brand new (I just got the truck 3 months ago). Makes no sense as to why they put a brand new REAR belt on but the front belt was missing a whole rib! People are so backwards/lazy. I can take the rear belt back today, but now I've got the process from you on how to get it done in a couple of years. People are so cheap. WHY even do the rear and put the OLD front back on? LOL! I scratch my head at people, man.
This belt change is a LOT easier done if you do it when you change the spark plugs. Remove plugs, do the A/C belt while plugs are out, easier to turn crankshaft. The A/C belt change is not one of Ford's better ideas.
I had my belts replaced about 7 months ago and I am getting a squeal when I start up and it goes away after the engine is warm. It is worse on damp or rainy days. Does this sound like a belt is bad already? I would think that if it was a bearing or pulley that it wouldn't go away after the engine was warm.
It could be several things causing a squeal and its hard to say exactly what it is. The belt could need to be replaced or the tensoiner could be starting to wear out would be my top guesses. You could also try a belt conditioner spray from a local auto parts store that could also remedy the noise without having to guess and throw parts at it.
I went through 10 zip ties trying to walk that ac belt on, 2hrs later i said fu** zip tied it twice on the crank and bumped the key on for a quick second and whalamm belt was installed 😂
Ok who ever the engineer is that came up with this Chang Wow set up should be dragged buy his sack behind his product I just did one of these turds 💩 today I swear I’ll never I mean never see Another bad belt on a Ford pick up that has this set up
This is a real “how it’s done” video for sure. Thanks for not trying to make it look too simple.

Thank you very much! My 2020 Transit 350 3.5 Turbo was much harder to get to but this video really helped me. God bless you.
Facts I’m having trouble with one right now.
Great video, and you didn’t drop an F- bomb on any of this! Nice job and keep up the great instructional videos !👍
Thanks for the tutorial sir. I needed this. I am going to be replacing my alternator and both belts on my 2016 Ford F-150 3.5 Ecoboost.
Worth $1000 video,, YES,, watching,, looking is easy,, but at least to a few people,, able to get a grip of it,,,
thx so much
very useful video....
Thank you that was so easy

Thanks for the tip!
It's not Fords idea...So Ford can't take credit for this stupid piece of engineering
Must be Chevy's idea then?
Hi
Number
would putting the belt on the tensioner last, be easier?
Yeah this is great when things go perfect well my ac belt is not on the compressor pulley it dropped onto the clutch instead now what do I do
Awesome Video THANKS for sharing.
Thanks for the video! Also did you change the tensioner I herd its recommended when changing belts?
How’d you get the ac belt back onto the ac itself I watched it slip off. Mines same way following this.
yup, 4:45 in fact the belt was 'not good', haha
Thanks for the video! 👍
I'm glad you found this helpful
I have a similar oil leak near the compressor.. you know where it's coming from??
it might be coming from the valve cover gasket or valve seals dripping down from the top
Nice trick thank you 👍
No problem 👍

How did you go through the top? Mine has a reservoir and 10 plastic pipes
Same here. I’m thinking he had all that out before the belt install

how many belts does 2022 expedtion have?
I cannot say for sure
Awesome. Thank you
Never could understand why ford didnt just line the ac up to use on one serpentaine belt. Great video doing this tomorrow.
Warning, this project can make you cuss! But it's a lot easier on the pocketbook than taking it somewhere
Ha. Mines leaking in the same spot. What is it?
Thank you
You're welcome, glad you enjoyed!
Mileage when you changed it out?
Just check your owners manual for service intervals
Service manual says 60,000 mls
Does the car need to be in neutral or something?
No.
Is this the same process for a 2019 raptor, I just purchased one with some miles and need to replace.
Do U know where I can find a good quality 80w led bulb for handlebar light on a 2004 Honda foreman 450es?
Thanks!!!
thanks
56,000 and some how my ac belt is damaged badly. How? No one knows but dealership to high so I’ll be doing it myself
Yahoooo. Ziptie kept me from going crazy and ReDrUmming the fktardedEngineer who designed this.
I'm glad this helped you!

The 2014 and up Silverado has the same design
It’s not hard lol
Lmao, try GM's e-assist.....
both belts can be changed in literally less than 3 minutes
@@krisgarrison3481 it’s easy once you know the secret the day I did it I was having a bad day
Awesome thanks !!
