Hi, has this process changed much over the years? Have a 3 bar (hah) gen1 leaf and would love to breathe new life into it. Getting a bit lost in all the videos I’ve come across. The can bridges have come down in cost quite a bit right?
Hi Dala, another great video. I have a CAN bridge installed in my eNV200 40kWh by Emile when they did my underslung 20kWh range extender. Aside from the battery pairing what other functions can be achieved? I'd really like some way to manually switch on the battery cooling rather than having to wait for the van to be charging, is this possible?
Yes it is possible to force cooling on, but it will cool the cabin at the same time. Get in touch with Muxsan and ask, I can't offer any firmware solutions for you, they would overwrite the muxsan range-extender bits 😅
Hi Daniel, little bit off topic, but I wanted to ask you your thoughts on using a wall timer for slow charging? On and off ? I was worried about rush current or some damage ?
Daniel Öster thank you , I run only 1350w and already on wall timer, but it’s only used to turn it off while I’m away in the day. But I have no load when I switch it on, just wondering if the leaf it self doesn’t like it?
HI Dala, thanks for the tutorial! Just one comment/question about the ground connection: Because of road vibration, the bolt can get loose and causing the clamp to disconnect? If that is the case, should be better to connect ground by soldering to a proper vehicle ground cable?
Daniel, I wanted to ask you is there a way that the can bus can turn off the reverse beeps inside the cabin ? I have disabled the external via leafspy, I have a very long driveway in reverse and often have to sit for ages till the traffic is clear. Drives me mad !
Daniel Öster - if you work that one out I will buy what ever dongle I have to :) I wonder if the reverse noise is its own tweeter, I might rip it out :)
