That Dwells-diss alone was a winning move.
Funky, something new, keeping it cool.
Personally, I don't miss super-fabricated, noisy, electro-based DMC-routines. They've run their course in the past 10-12 years.
Another level and keeping it hip hop as well, love this, need to see the Supremacy final, please :-)
This was a unique and different set. That's why it won.
They gotta send the one that has the most opportunity of winning at World's and this set was the judges choice.
That "no record routine" was definitely ill...I didn't expect to see that.
Being different will always stand out
I saw the second place video. He got skills, though he coasted through like 1/3(2 minutes..maybe more)of his set.
Precision did more work.
I enjoyed this set.
A force on them decks! Absolutely insane routine!
that was super unique, I liked that shit a lot!!
I think family freestyled half of that set. Funky as always.
just when yuh think it was safe to come out,MAAAD!!!
I love how laid back and musical this set is.
This is a late 90's/early 00's set with a touch of Scratch Perverts type stuff at the end. This isn't a knock at all, but I'm surprised that this was the winning set. I guess things are going back to hip-hop instead of the EDM type sets I've seen in the past. That's cool.
I myself didn't think it should've won, but after watching these other competitors videos NOONE else was bringing anything new to the table this year either. I think a turntablism reset button has been pressed or something, cause all I'm seeing is the same old school tricks being done these days without ANY innovation. ( can we retire the Triumph and blind alley patterns already people?!) Apreciate the criticism nonetheless!
No disrespect on your win, though, I just thought the winning routine would've sounded like a big EDM song production live (no shade thrown, I still highly respect past champions). DMC seems to be coming full circle and going back to a hip-hop centric 6 minute routine and everyone is kind of moving the EDM/party rocking elements to the 3style battle instead. Like you said, though,. there isn't much innovation in the hip-hop routines these days. I think DJs are still trying to figure out how to bring that sound back but make it seem like it belongs in the 10's somehow, kind of like how Jay-Z and RIck Rubin did "99 Problems" with an 80's hard rock vibe but still made it seem current.
NO disrespect taken! I know I'm better than this, just didn't take it as serious as i know i should've. Go check my 2012 dmc world set. Much better definition of what i bring to the table!
scratching Suzuki slipmats was pretty cool though - I'd be changing my styli after that tho lol
I'm happy Precision won because he was finally given his deserved Battle for Supremacy World Champ title.
Itching to see the rest of the entries
releasing one per day, God willing! stay tuned!
Thanks Christie!
i love a lot of precisions work but this isnt the one. everyone has good and bad moments and i have a lot f repsect for this guy but i am completely amazed how he got a win with this.
Finally! I've been waiting for this! Are his supremacy sets going up?
God willing! Working on 2015 dmc us Supremacy footage too. Thanks for your patience!!!
***** The production value is extra high this time around. I like the screen-in-screen close-up view of the decks.
+NOCDIB Noisemaker Media kills it everytime! It might have taken a while but was definitely worth the weight.
+Christie Z-Pabon can djs still use real vinyl for the dmc comps or is it against the rules now?
white noise scratch was ill
Man I need to get a set together...
don't like the routine and I'm wondering he won....
Queens hip hop
2:58 Song name please (: Its beautiful :D
m.o.p. - blow the horns feat. busta rhymes

manwell and dwells set killed this, who were the fucking judges.

i loved watching dmc shit on video back in the days, nowadays it's to much cue point and get your hands in the air shit altough the skills are sicker...

Large Professor - The Mad Scientist

thats big noyd song
Are you kidding me? Recognize & Realize..this is why there are so many sucker DJ's out. Your all studio DJ's can't even mix records.
if don't hurry up and win the world title already!!!??
He has one world title already 2015 DMC World Supremacy (DMC's head to head category)
Oh OK, that's what's up, now if can take the traditional 6 minutes, he deserves it.
diss a much younger dj.... how ever tech is dope everything else ....: mmmh .....don't feel it.... more fresh ideas in dwells set and manwells routine is more tech and faster....
They know each other well - and dissed each other lol - anyone is open territory for dissing in a battle. In fact, the more a DJ gets dissed, the more I think he/she was considered a worthy opponent.
dwells puts a lot of disses in his sets so it would be weird if no one got back at him. watch dwells 2014 set he diss all the top djs in his set.
don't count the overtime but let him play his set to the end... red alert wanna be cool hip hop granny....bad hosting
So starting time of his set was at 1:09 to about 7:19 - a 10 sec - at the worst extension - that could have easily happened due to whoever was timing hitting their start button late, or as what has happened to me, accidentally stopping the time from a wrong move on the phone, or the timer getting Red's attention to say time late. If I mess up on time, i give the DJ the benefit of the doubt on the time. Most DJs have their sets perfectly timed. Sometimes a host yells time too early - things happen at DJ battles - everything is not perfect. Red was not the one timing himself.
Dwells was robbed...
Sure the cutts were precise... but where's the passion and energy?
judges don't judge on passion and energy at DMC battles
passion and energy ended in 2001. now it's all bullshit
+Vlone DJs win based on skills
Precision was boring and uninspired. Dwell's and Manwell both had much better sets?
Are perfect cut's the defining feature that makes one dj better than the other? if so, there's a serious problem within this scene
I guess you would have to talk to the judges about why they picked who they did to win.
1st: DJ Precision: 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 12
2nd: DJ Manwell: 3 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 8
3rd: Dwells: 2 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 8
4th: DJ Throdown: 3
5th: DJ Ease: 2 + 1 = 3
6th: DJ Toltech: 2
what's the name of the song 2:37 ?
