Great video!!! I noticed that he put the feather on 'backwards' compared to all the other flu flu tutorials, but that will make it resist the air and slow it down even better. Awesome!!
Just thought of something that you may want someone to cover and that is what Joel Turner refers to as the speed limit of the shot. Basically how fast you can execute the shot and be in control.
+James Hagerman I failed his closed loop speed drill test over and over, he said I set a record for the most fails! He just laughed at me. Good point, I will have to talk to him about more first.
I noticed that the feather faced in the opposite direction than on a regularly fletched arrow. Is this so the feather catches more air or was it a mistake? tnx
Even easier way is to use fletching tape! Also when i make my spiral flu flu's i peel the Quill off then put it in a bitz clamp put on the fletch tape, take the feather from the clamp wrap it on the arrow. No glue needed
Is there a reason you want synthetic feathers? Three Rivers or Lancaster Archery might carry them. As for where to get a bow cheap, what do you call cheap? A Samick Sage you can buy new of $130 to 170. You can buy one off Ebay for less if you want.
This has got to be the best video demonstrating making flu flu arrows, awesome 😎🏹🙏

I saw someone use a mouse pad for the rolling surface when applying a wrap, seems like a good way to keep from getting air bubbles
Seth McClaine john dudlie does he copie right one that has all the pic on it for a guide
A tip : you can watch movies at Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching all kinds of movies lately.
@Amos Zahir yea, have been using Flixzone} for years myself :)

Thanks for this, not quite as easy as make it seem. Got there and looking forward to trying them out
You could use a little super glue accelerator for the first little bead to get it set. the accelerator will dry the glue INSTANTLY.
nice job! i have had good success making these with contact cement as well..paint it on wait a few mins then wrap away
Going to give this a try for sure , have some Big crows and ravens here and they drop feathers here and there ....thanks for the video and tips !

Three Rivers, Lancaster Archery are the two big ones. There are others on line that sell them too.

Question: can you use these flu flu fletchings with a... Wisket Biscuit?
I would doubt it, the feathers would get caught up in it and screw up your flight.
You can use a piece of dental floss to hold you feather to start it.. works great.
So what on earth do you USE those for??
+None of your Business
Mainly for shooting aerial targets
Squirrels!!!!!!!!!!! :-)
Velociraptors.
@@ctclimberguy34 HAHAHAHAHA!!I saw one the other day..Wish i'd had my flu flu ready!
Where can you order synthetic turkey feathers or pick them up and where can I get a cheap recurve bow Incase I don't like it!!

to make flu flu arrows and cheap would be like 300 to me
For three hundred dollars you can get a nice bow. The Samick Sage is about 150 and is a good starter bow.
