I keep finding more and more tributes to Yume Nikki's 20th birthday. It's surprising to see how many people and artists this game has influenced and I'm glad to be sharing an interest in this game with ya people
that was one of the sweetest things i've ever seen and heard, one of the most heartfelt little love letters to yume nikki and i've never even been that well oriented with this game but i can still tell this comes from the bottom of your heart this cover of mado's room theme touches my heart in ways most things can't and i thank you for making it and thank you again for posting the track separately on your bandcamp so i can listen to that, i treasure it dearly and hope others can see it for themselves
I hope they release another nikki update and make multiple endings like the classic ending and another one where she defeat her anxiety and trauma and go outside ("they could make bosses where you could fight with effects and dodges and if you lose you get the scene that caused the trauma and if won you get a crystal or something") Get more playable characters Have their unique stories that are somehow related to nikki Then some how they connect to the same dream world and then visit each other and become friends Bro the game is full of potential and the biggest one is making an actual site in the game that can make the players interact with each other in the game and actually help each other defeat bosses and become real world friends since the game is about isolation Bro I'm literally crying on how tf they let this game and cute character design be forgotten like that😢😢😢😢
At that point just make your own game. Alot of the beauty in Yume Nikki is found in how you can piece together valuable pieces of the environment and build a narrative of of it, everyone has their own interpretations of the characters and theres as much cute animations as there are serious, deep theories. Forcing yume nikki, a walking simulator, to have objectives and roles for every character just defeats the point of the game.
