    In this video I teach you how to quickly and easily prepare the famous “Bolo de bolacha”. It is one of the most popular cakes in Portugal. There are many variants of the recipe, in this the butter is replaced by cream and the sugar by normal condensed milk, cooked or light to be less caloric.     "Bolo de bolachas Maria com caramelo"
    • 1 can of condensed milk
    • 400ml of cream / sour cream
    • 4 sheets of neutral gelatin
    • Maria cookies q.b.
    • 1 teaspoon of soluble coffee powder + 2 teaspoon of water
    • 1 cup (tea) of strong (liquid) sweet coffee.
    Roof
    • 1 cup (tea) of sugar (150gr)
    • 1 tablespoon of butter
    • 125ml of cream / sour cream
    • Chopped roasted peanuts for garnish
    HOW TO PREPARE THE CAKE
    Start by placing the cream cartons in the freezer for a few minutes to make them very cold, without letting them freeze.
    Prepare 1xc (tea) of sweetened coffee and let it cool.
    Soak gelatin sheets in cold water, drain.
    Beat the cream / cream very well until they are firm. Gradually add the condensed milk, continuing to beat.
    In a cup put 1 teaspoon of soluble coffee diluted in little water and mix the already soaked gelatine and microwave for 5 seconds to dilute. If they are not melted, return to the microwave for a few more seconds. Immediately mix with the cream with quick movements so as not to leave lumps.
    In a mold with removable rims, start by adding a layer of cream.
    Pass the cookies through the liquid coffee, forming layers of wafer alternating with layers of cream.
    It must be the last layer of cream.
    Refrigerate if possible overnight to gain consistency.
    If you want to freeze, line the mold with plastic!
    ROOF:
    Caramel sauce
    Place the sugar in a container and bring to a simmer until it reaches the caramel point, stirring occasionally.
    Remove from heat and add butter. Stir very well. Add the cream in wire, stirring quickly with a wire / stalk stick.
    Let it cool completely!
    FINISH:
    1. When serving the cake, remove the ring, add the caramel sauce and sprinkle with coarsely chopped roasted peanuts / almonds.
    Enjoy your food!
