So I will say... if you’re willing to work with an iPad (Pro) and Apple Pencil then it can definitely (in 90% of cases imo) replace a laptop. However if there are some really vital tasks you do daily and you prefer the laptop experience, I would play it safe and get one and possibly get a cheaper iPad on the side if at all. That’s been my case; for somethings iPad is just fine... for other things I absolutely need my laptop haha. But then again I’m a tech-head so I have too many devices. It's perfect size in my opinion. Maybe not the greatest for TH-cam videos due to the aspect ratio, but makes up for that with social media, Internet browsing and casual gaming

I actually bought the iPad Pro 11 and it’s one hell of a device but I found it way too overkill.... so I ended up returning it and now I got this little beast.... and ur right it does feel like a pro device a way. It’s awesome for reading books as well!!! Oh and I ended up getting the 256 gb for around only $500.00 !!!!

Please address what kind, or which, external storage devices you can use with the iPad mini5. It seems solid state drives, like the Samsung T5, won’t work with a powered usb-to- lightning accessory. Thumb/flash drives seem to work find. Both of these and more work on the iPad Pro.
Anthony Martin any device that works with usb 3.0 or more needs an external supply with the adapter from lightning to usb. USB 2.0 or less doesn’t need an external supply because the voltage given by the iPad is enough.

Interesting though that even with your extensive experience using ipads lately, you still struggled to swipe away the carousel view window and needed a few goes at it - there's definitely a steep learning curve with ipadOS I think.

I thin this will be the iPad I pick up if I don't get the pro because I had mini 2 and loved the size of it for sure. It will get the updates for a few years too which is plus for me whereas the "iPad" might not get them as long in my opinion.

@@fetusdeletus1653 for gaming I'd definitely choose the mini, much easier to hold, lighter and easier to reach screen controls. With regards to cellular, again that depends on your usage. Are you going to be using out and about where you'll require Internet regularly? If so then you should consider, however could use your mobile as a hot-spot then just connect your ipad that way?

I find that the iPad Mini is underrated and an underdog. It is just big enough for 1 hand use and like a smartphone.

SuperGamersplus you have to go to settings and then to screen at the end you have to activate the option to have the widget window always.

its a device with lightning port so you have to buy the official usb 3 adapter from apple to make external hdd work and these only come with 1 port.

Depends what you want it for? For something that's going to be carried around alot, I'd say the mini would be easier to live with
