Honda VF750F restoration over winter 2021/22

So I bought this bike as a non-runner project bike off of eBay. It was completely stock except for a hideous home made rack and ugly mirrors. Both brakes were seized. The carbs had been taken off and looked like they had been forced back on breaking all the plastic connection pipes. Engine casings heavily corroded. Fuel pump not working along with the fuel gauge and tachometer.
I set my sights on getting her just started to begin with, just in case the engine was junk. If I could get her fired up then I’d carry on. Well she fired up almost straight way albeit on just two cylinders as you can hear in the video. A new set of plugs, short out the fuel pump and a makeshift battery and we were away.
From then on one job at a time and everything got sorted. By April she was ready for the roadworthy test here in the UK, the MOT test which she passed. 6 months on and she still fires up instantly and all in all I’m very pleased. This winter,22/23, I’ll see about getting the bodywork sprayed.

That looks a beauty, amazing the condition is so good. Had one in the 80s, it looked the same condition! Nice to hear the engine on it.

Very nice,.always liked these, had a new VF400 in 83 and now have a 500f2 and vfr800. The 750 is still not given the attention it should get; bikers have very long memories I'm affraid
