Man, Linda sounds great and is really pulling those bass strings. She could play on a shoebox and get a great live sound.
pro tip : you can watch movies on Flixzone. Been using them for watching a lot of movies lately.
@Kash Chandler yea, I have been using flixzone} for since november myself =)
Almost sounds like Miles had "Bolero," or maybe "Peter and the Wolf," in the back of his mind when he wrote this. Or maybe "Mother Goose Suite," or the "Forlane" (Tombeau de Couperin), also in 6/8. He certainly knew his way around the Juilliard library.
That is an extreme - as in extremely deft - bassline, the other end of the spectrum from Chambers' original static ostinato.
Beautiful fingerring on that bass.
I Fall in Love Too Easily with this kind of music performed this way...
Jan Zamojski, one of my favorite Miles love songs
Awesome! This is my favorite series on TH-cam.
If I may be so bold, I would like to request a Standard With Friends with Mr. Gerald Clayton... and since I’m feeling greedy, I also suggest the song “Do Nothing till You Hear From Me”. 😁
Bril 2 fab musicians
Linda May Han Oh Em Gee
this is really killing man. Linda is a master
Another fantastic duo. Wonderful rhythmic inventiveness . Friends having fun! Great ending, too😁
wicked bassist !
great, and cute and funny ending!
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Bass Fever!!!!
In Linda's playing; I hear the dynamics and shifts in syncopation ala Christian McBride with the freedom of melodic expression ala Ron Carter
The slower approach at the end "surprise" shares much in common with Archie Shepp in how he would play ballads by Duke (one of his jazz favs)
Double bass is so fucking difficult, and she makes it look effortless. Big respect
Bravo
Very cool All Blues. I like! I've been hearing this approach a lot recently. Sparse instrumentation but more than made up with very complex rhythmic interplay between the musicians. Very engaging!
Very good!
Music, video, humor ...there is a lot of art there
Great
Very cool!
That switch at the end freaked me out I mean for a dedicated woodwind guy to play Double Reed I guess ok Charles Pillow etc but for a bassist geez 🦧
I can't believe I haven't heard linda before shes killing it!
Thanks for such a nice interpretation!!!
beautiful!
ha, funny ending, love it
You are amazing 😳
Yessss!!
Great!!! You should invite Paul Hanson!!
ahhhhhhhhhhh Linda May Han OHHHHHHHHHH
I am generally conservative in my musical tastes, but in spite of that am enjoying these novel interpretations of the standards. Good music is good music. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
Great take, even if bass volume is a bit too low imho
huge
The ending though.....
Yeas a casual switch of instruments. Wjhat's the problem?
Which strings does Linda play?
Wow. Playing the holy gmail of jazz on two (unusual to say the least) instruments takes courage- and artistry.

🏵️😉🌱🌻
Kinda cool considering Linda is a basoonist too.
hey Ben I’m a broke college student could you hook me up with tickets to your show in Cambridge pls
me too pls
It doesn't sound good, try a zoom recorder😊
Basson too loud ! And I don’t like this version of « all blues » at all.
