I predominately hear Atheist, Opeth, Suffocation, and of course Death. It's like a Canadian lovechild of Tampa and NYC that grew up in Sweden. The only modern tech death band I love. They took old school influences and modernised them in the best way, writing brutal melodic proggish metal that just happens to be technical.
